Toka mbinguni Bwana aliwachungulia wanadamu, Aone kama yuko mtu mwenye akili, Amtafutaye Mungu.

Wote wamepotoka, wameoza wote pamoja, Hakuna atendaye mema, La! Hata mmoja.
All have turned away, they have together become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.

Je! Wote wafanyao maovu hawajui? Walao watu wangu kama walavyo mkate, Hawamwiti Bwana.
Will the workers of iniquity never learn? They devour my people like bread; they refuse to call upon the LORD.

Hapo ndipo walipoingiwa na hofu nyingi, Maana Mungu yupo pamoja na kizazi cha haki.
There they are, overwhelmed with dread, for God is in the company of the righteous.

Mnalitia aibu shauri la mtu mnyonge, Bali Bwana ndiye aliye kimbilio lake.
You sinners frustrate the plans of the oppressed, yet the LORD is their shelter.

Laiti wokovu wa Israeli utoke katika Sayuni! Bwana awarudishapo wafungwa wa watu wake; Yakobo atashangilia, Israeli atafurahi.
Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come from Zion! When the LORD restores His captive people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad!
