Mbona mataifa wanafanya ghasia, Na makabila wanatafakari ubatili?
Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?

Wafalme wa dunia wanajipanga, Na wakuu wanafanya shauri pamoja, Juu ya Bwana, Na juu ya masihi wake.
The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together, against the LORD and against His Anointed One:

Na tuvipasue vifungo vyao, Na kuzitupia mbali nasi kamba zao.
“Let us break Their chains and cast away Their cords.”

Yeye aketiye mbinguni anacheka, Bwana anawafanyia dhihaka.
The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord taunts them.

Ndipo atakaposema nao kwa hasira yake, Na kuwafadhaisha kwa ghadhabu yake.
Then He rebukes them in His anger, and terrifies them in His fury:

Nami nimemweka mfalme wangu Juu ya Sayuni, mlima wangu mtakatifu.
“I have installed My King on Zion, upon My holy mountain.”
7
Nitaihubiri amri; Bwana aliniambia, Ndiwe mwanangu, Mimi leo nimekuzaa.
I will proclaim the decree spoken to Me by the LORD: “You are My Son; today I have become Your Father.

Uniombe, nami nitakupa mataifa kuwa urithi wako, Na miisho ya dunia kuwa milki yako.
Ask Me, and I will make the nations Your inheritance, the ends of the earth Your possession.
9
Utawaponda kwa fimbo ya chuma, Na kuwavunja kama chombo cha mfinyanzi.
You will break them with an iron scepter; You will shatter them like pottery.”
10
Na sasa, enyi wafalme, fanyeni akili, Enyi waamuzi wa dunia, mwadibiwe.
Therefore be wise, O kings; be admonished, O judges of the earth.
11
Mtumikieni Bwana kwa kicho, Shangilieni kwa kutetemeka.
Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12
Shikeni yaliyo bora asije akafanya hasira, Nanyi mkapotea njiani,Kwa kuwa hasira yake itawaka upesi,Heri wote wanaomkimbilia. </p>
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry and you perish in your rebellion, when His wrath ignites in an instant. Blessed are all who take refuge in Him.
