Ee Bwana, unihukumu, unitetee kwa taifa lisilo haki, Uniokoe na mtu wa hila asiye haki.
Vindicate me, O God, and plead my case against an ungodly nation; deliver me from deceitful and unjust men.

Kwa kuwa Wewe ndiwe Mungu uliye nguvu zangu; kwa nini umenitupa? Kwa nini ninakwenda nikihuzunika, adui wakinionea?
For You are the God of my refuge. Why have You rejected me? Why must I walk in sorrow because of the enemy’s oppression?

Niletewe nuru yako na kweli yako ziniongoze, Zinifikishe kwenye mlima wako mtakatifu na hata maskani yako.
Send out Your light and Your truth; let them lead me. Let them bring me to Your holy mountain and to the place where You dwell.

Hivyo nitakwenda madhabahuni kwa Mungu, kwa Mungu aliye furaha yangu na shangwe yangu; Nitakusifu kwa kinubi, Ee MUNGU, Mungu wangu.
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God, my greatest joy. I will praise You with the harp, O God, my God.

Nafsi yangu, kwa nini kuinama, Na kufadhaika ndani yangu? Umtumaini Mungu; Kwa maana nitakuja kumsifu, Aliye afya ya uso wangu, Na Mungu wangu.
Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why the unease within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my Savior and my God.
