Bwana ndiye niliyemkimbilia. Mbona mnaiambia nafsi yangu, Kimbia kama ndege mlimani kwenu?

Maana, tazama, wasio haki wanaupinda uta, Wanaitia mishale yao katika upote, Ili kuwapiga gizani wanyofu wa moyo.

If the foundations are destroyed, What can the righteous do?
Bwana yu katika hekalu lake takatifu. Bwana ambaye kiti chake kiko mbinguni, Macho yake yanaangalia; Kope zake zinawajaribu wanadamu.
Yahweh is in his holy temple. Yahweh is on his throne in heaven. His eyes observe. His eyes examine the children of men.
Bwana humjaribu mwenye haki; Bali nafsi yake humchukia asiye haki, Na mwenye kupenda udhalimu.
Yahweh examines the righteous, But the wicked and him who loves violence his soul hates.
Awanyeshee wasio haki mitego, Moto na kiberiti na upepo wa hari, Na viwe fungu la kikombe chao.
On the wicked he will rain blazing coals; Fire, sulfur, and scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.
Kwa kuwa Bwana ndiye mwenye haki, Apenda matendo ya haki, Wanyofu wa moyo watamwona uso wake.
For Yahweh is righteous. He loves righteousness. The upright shall see his face.
