Adui zangu wanataka kunimeza mchana kutwa, Maana waletao vita juu yangu kwa kiburi ni wengi.
My enemies pursue me all day long, for many proudly assail me.

Siku ya hofu yangu nitakutumaini Wewe;
When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.

Kwa msaada wa MUNGU nitalisifu neno lake. Nimemtumaini Mungu, sitaogopa; Mwenye mwili atanitenda nini?
In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Mchana kutwa wanapotosha maneno yangu, Mawazo yao yote ni juu yangu kunitakia mabaya.
All day long they twist my words; all their thoughts are on my demise.

Hukutanika, hujificha, huziangalia nyayo zangu, Kwa kuwa wameniotea nafsi yangu.
They conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps while they wait to take my life.

Je! Wataokoka kwa uovu wao? Ee Mungu, uwaangamize kwa hasira yako.
In spite of such sin, will they escape? In Your anger, O God, cast down the nations.

Umehesabu kutanga-tanga kwangu; Uyatie machozi yangu katika chupa yako; (Je! Hayamo katika kitabu chako?)
You have taken account of my wanderings. Put my tears in Your bottle—are they not in Your book?

Ndipo adui zangu watarudi nyuma siku ile niitapo. Neno hili najua kuwa MUNGU yu upande wangu;
Then my enemies will retreat on the day I cry for help. By this I will know that God is on my side.

Kwa msaada wa MUNGU nitalisifu neno lake. Kwa msaada wa Bwana nitalisifu neno lake.
In God, whose word I praise, in the LORD, whose word I praise,

Nimemtumaini Mungu, sitaogopa; Mwanadamu atanitenda nini?
in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?

Ee Mungu, nadhiri zako zi juu yangu; Nitakutolea dhabihu za kushukuru.
Your vows are upon me, O God; I will render thank offerings to You.

Maana umeniponya nafsi yangu na mauti; Je! Hukuizuia miguu yangu isianguke? Ili nienende mbele za Mungu Katika nuru ya walio hai.
For You have delivered my soul from death, and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.
