Ee Mungu wangu, nalia mchana lakini hujibu Na wakati wa usiku lakini sipati raha.
I cry out by day, O my God, but You do not answer, and by night, but I have no rest.

Na Wewe U Mtakatifu, Uketiye juu ya sifa za Israeli.
Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.

Baba zetu walikutumaini Wewe, Walitumaini, na Wewe ukawaokoa.
In You our fathers trusted; they trusted and You delivered them.

Walikulilia Wewe wakaokoka, Walikutumaini wasiaibike.
They cried out to You and were set free; they trusted in You and were not disappointed.

Lakini mimi ni mdudu wala si mtu, Laumu ya wanadamu na mzaha wa watu.
But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by men and despised by the people.

Wote wanionao hunicheka sana, Hunifyonya, wakitikisa vichwa vyao;
All who see me mock me; they sneer and shake their heads:

Husema, Umtegemee Bwana; na amponye; Na amwokoe sasa, maana apendezwa naye.
“He trusts in the LORD, let the LORD deliver him; let the LORD rescue him, since He delights in him.”

Naam, Wewe ndiwe uliyenitoa tumboni, Ulinitumainisha matitini mwa mama yangu.
Yet You brought me forth from the womb; You made me secure at my mother’s breast.
10
Kwako nalitupwa tangu tumboni, Toka tumboni mwa mamangu ndiwe Mungu wangu.
From birth I was cast upon You; from my mother’s womb You have been my God.

Usiwe mbali nami maana taabu i karibu, Kwa maana hakuna msaidizi.
Be not far from me, for trouble is near and there is no one to help.

Mafahali wengi wamenizunguka, Walio hodari wa Bashani wamenisonga;
Many bulls surround me; strong bulls of Bashan encircle me.
13
Wananifumbulia vinywa vyao, Kama simba apapuraye na kunguruma.
They open their jaws against me like lions that roar and maul.
14
Nimemwagika kama maji, Mifupa yangu yote imeteguka, Moyo wangu umekuwa kama nta, Na kuyeyuka ndani ya mtima wangu.
I am poured out like water, and all my bones are disjointed. My heart is like wax; it melts away within me.

Nguvu zangu zimekauka kama gae, Ulimi wangu waambatana na taya zangu; Unaniweka katika mavumbi ya mauti
My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You lay me in the dust of death.
16
Kwa maana mbwa wamenizunguka; Kusanyiko la waovu wamenisonga; Wamenizua mikono na miguu.
For dogs surround me; a band of evil men encircles me; they have pierced my hands and feet.
17
Naweza kuihesabu mifupa yangu yote; Wao wananitazama na kunikodolea macho.
I can count all my bones; they stare and gloat over me.
18
Wanagawanya nguo zangu, Na vazi langu wanalipigia kura.
They divide my garments among them and cast lots for my clothing.
19
Nawe, Bwana, usiwe mbali, Ee Nguvu zangu, fanya haraka kunisaidia.
But You, O LORD, be not far off; O my Strength, come quickly to help me.
20
Uniponye nafsi yangu na upanga, Mpenzi wangu na nguvu za mbwa.
Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of wild dogs.
21
Kinywani mwa simba uniokoe; Naam, toka pembe za nyati umenijibu.
Save me from the mouth of the lion; at the horns of the wild oxen You have answered me!
22
Nitalihubiri jina lako kwa ndugu zangu, Katikati ya kusanyiko nitakusifu.
I will proclaim Your name to my brothers; I will praise You in the assembly.
23
Ninyi mnaomcha Bwana, msifuni, Enyi nyote mlio wazao wa Yakobo, mtukuzeni, Mcheni, enyi nyote mlio wazao wa Israeli.
You who fear the LORD, praise Him! All descendants of Jacob, honor Him! All offspring of Israel, revere Him!

Maana hakulidharau teso la mteswa, Wala hakuchukizwa nalo; Wala hakumficha uso wake, Bali alipomlilia akamsikia.
For He has not despised or detested the torment of the afflicted. He has not hidden His face from him, but has attended to his cry for help.
25
Kwako zinatoka sifa zangu Katika kusanyiko kubwa. Nitaziondoa nadhiri zangu Mbele yao wamchao.
My praise for You resounds in the great assembly; I will fulfill my vows before those who fear You.

Wapole watakula na kushiba, Wamtafutao Bwana watamsifu; Mioyo yenu na iishi milele.
The poor will eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD will praise Him. May your hearts live forever!
27
Miisho yote ya dunia itakumbuka, Na watu watamrejea Bwana; Jamaa zote za mataifa watamsujudia.
All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD. All the families of the nations will bow down before Him.
28
Maana ufalme una Bwana, Naye ndiye awatawalaye mataifa.
For dominion belongs to the LORD and He rules over the nations.
29
Wakwasi wote wa dunia watakula na kusujudu, Humwinamia wote washukao mavumbini; Naam, yeye asiyeweza kujihuisha nafsi yake,
All the rich of the earth will feast and worship; all who go down to the dust will kneel before Him—even those unable to preserve their lives.
30
Wazao wake watamtumikia. Zitasimuliwa habari za Bwana, Kwa kizazi kitakachokuja,
Posterity will serve Him; they will declare the Lord to a new generation.
31
Nao watawahubiri watakaozaliwa haki yake, Ya kwamba ndiye aliyeyafanya.
They will come and proclaim His righteousness to a people yet unborn—all that He has done.
