Ee Mungu, unirehemu, Sawasawa na fadhili zako. Kiasi cha wingi wa rehema zako, Uyafute makosa yangu.
> Have mercy on me, God, according to your loving kindness. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.
Unioshe kabisa na uovu wangu, Unitakase dhambi zangu.
Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity. Cleanse me from my sin.
Maana nimejua mimi makosa yangu Na dhambi yangu i mbele yangu daima.
For I know my transgressions. My sin is constantly before me.
Nimekutenda dhambi Wewe peke yako, Na kufanya maovu mbele za macho yako. Wewe ujulikane kuwa una haki unenapo, Na kuwa safi utoapo hukumu.
Against you, and you only, have I sinned, And done that which is evil in your sight; That you may be proved right when you speak, And justified when you judge.
Tazama, mimi naliumbwa katika hali ya uovu; Mama yangu alinichukua mimba hatiani.
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me.
Tazama, wapendezwa na kweli iliyo moyoni; Nawe utanijulisha hekima kwa siri,
Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.
Unisafishe kwa hisopo nami nitakuwa safi, Unioshe, nami nitakuwa mweupe kuliko theluji
Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Unifanye kusikia furaha na shangwe, Mifupa uliyoiponda ifurahi.
Let me hear joy and gladness, That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.
Usitiri uso wako usitazame dhambi zangu; Uzifute hatia zangu zote.
Hide your face from my sins, And blot out all of my iniquities.
Ee Mungu, uniumbie moyo safi, Uifanye upya roho iliyotulia ndani yangu
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.
Usinitenge na uso wako, Wala roho yako mtakatifu usiniondolee.
Don't throw me from your presence, And don't take your holy Spirit from me.
Unirudishie furaha ya wokovu wako; Unitegemeze kwa roho ya wepesi.
Restore to me the joy of your salvation. Uphold me with a willing spirit.
Nitawafundisha wakosaji njia zako, Na wenye dhambi watarejea kwako.
Then I will teach transgressors your ways. Sinners shall be converted to you.
Ee MUNGU, Mungu wa wokovu wangu, Uniponye na damu za watu, Na ulimi wangu utaiimba haki yako.
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation. My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.
Ee Bwana, uifumbue midomo yangu, Na kinywa changu kitazinena sifa zako.
Lord, open my lips. My mouth shall declare your praise.
Maana hupendezwi na dhabihu, au ningeitoa, Wewe huridhii sadaka ya kuteketezwa.
For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.
Dhabihu za Mungu ni roho iliyovunjika; Moyo uliovunjika na kupondeka, Ee Mungu, hutaudharau.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.
Uitendee mema Sayuni kwa radhi yako, Uzijenge kuta za Yerusalemu.
Do well in your good pleasure to Zion. Build the walls of Jerusalem.
Ndipo utakapopendezwa na dhabihu za haki, Na sadaka za kuteketezwa, na kafara. Ndipo watakapotoa ng'ombe Juu ya madhabahu yako.
Then you will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, In burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar.
