Praise Yahweh! Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, For his loving kindness endures forever.
Nani awezaye kuyanena matendo makuu ya Bwana, Kuzihubiri sifa zake zote?
Who can utter the mighty acts of Yahweh, Or fully declare all his praise?
Heri washikao hukumu, Na kutenda haki sikuzote.
Blessed are those who keep justice. Blessed is one who does what is right at all times.
Ee Bwana, unikumbuke mimi, Kwa kibali uliyo nayo kwa watu wako. Unijilie kwa wokovu wako,
Remember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation,
Ili niuone wema wa wateule wako. Nipate kuifurahia furaha ya taifa lako, Na kujisifu pamoja na watu wako.
That I may see the prosperity of your chosen, That I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, That I may glory with your inheritance.
Tumetenda dhambi pamoja na baba zetu, Tumetenda maovu, tumefanya ubaya.
We have sinned with our fathers. We have committed iniquity. We have done wickedly.
Baba zetu katika Misri Hawakufikiri matendo yako ya ajabu; Hawakukumbuka wingi wa fadhili zako; Wakaasi penye bahari, bahari ya Shamu.
Our fathers didn't understand your wonders in Egypt. They didn't remember the multitude of your loving kindnesses, But were rebellious at the sea, even at the Red Sea.
Lakini akawaokoa kwa ajili ya jina lake, Ayadhihirishe matendo yake makuu.

They forgot God, their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,
Matendo ya ajabu katika nchi ya Hamu, Mambo ya kutisha penye bahari ya Shamu.
Wondrous works in the land of Ham, And awesome things by the Red Sea.
Akasema ya kuwa atawaangamiza Kama Musa, mteule wake, asingalisimama, Mbele zake kama mahali palipobomoka, Ili aigeuze hasira yake asije akawaharibu.
Therefore he said that he would destroy them, Had Moses, his chosen, not stood before him in the breach, To turn away his wrath, so that he wouldn't destroy them.

Wakamkasirisha kwa matendo yao; Tauni ikawashambulia.

Wakazitumikia sanamu zao, Nazo zikawa mtego kwao.

Naam, walitoa wana wao na binti zao Kuwa dhabihu kwa mashetani.
Yes, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons.
Wakamwaga damu isiyo na hatia, Damu ya wana wao na binti zao, Waliowatoa dhabihu kwa sanamu za Kanaani; Nchi ikatiwa unajisi kwa damu.
They shed innocent blood, Even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan. The land was polluted with blood.
Ndivyo walivyotiwa uchafu kwa kazi zao, Wakafanya uasherati kwa matendo yao.
Thus were they defiled with their works, And prostituted themselves in their deeds.
Hasira ya Bwana ikawaka juu ya watu wake, Akauchukia urithi wake.
Therefore Yahweh burned with anger against his people. He abhorred his inheritance.
Akawatia mikononi mwa mataifa, Nao waliowachukia wakawatawala.
He gave them into the hand of the nations. Those who hated them ruled over them.
Adui zao wakawaonea, Wakatiishwa chini ya mkono wao.
Their enemies also oppressed them. They were brought into subjection under their hand.
Mara nyingi aliwaponya, Bali walikuwa wakimwasi kwa mashauri yao, Wakadhilika katika uovu wao.
Many times he delivered them, But they were rebellious in their counsel, And were brought low in their iniquity.
Lakini aliyaangalia mateso yao, Aliposikia kilio chao.
Nevertheless he regarded their distress, When he heard their cry.
Akawakumbukia agano lake; Akawahurumia kwa wingi wa fadhili zake;
He remembered for them his covenant, And repented according to the multitude of his loving kindnesses.
Akawajalia kuhurumiwa Na watu wote waliowateka.
He made them also to be pitied By all those who carried them captive.
Ee Bwana, Mungu wetu, utuokoe, Utukusanye kwa kututoa katika mataifa, Tulishukuru jina lako takatifu, Tuzifanyie shangwe sifa zako.
Save us, Yahweh, our God, Gather us from among the nations, To give thanks to your holy name, To triumph in your praise!
Na ahimidiwe Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, Tangu milele hata milele. Watu wote na waseme, Amina. Haleluya.
