Neno la Bwana likanijia, kusema,
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Mwanadamu, uelekeze uso wako uitazame milima ya Israeli, ukaitabirie,
“Son of man, set your face against the mountains of Israel and prophesy against them.

ukisema, Enyi milima ya Israeli, lisikieni neno la Bwana MUNGU; Bwana MUNGU aiambia hivi milima na vilima, na vijito na mabonde; Tazama, mimi, naam, mimi, nitaleta upanga juu yenu, nami nitapaharibu mahali penu palipoinuka,
You are to say: ‘O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! This is what the Lord GOD says to the mountains and hills, to the ravines and valleys: I am about to bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.

Na madhabahu zenu zitakuwa ukiwa, na sanamu zenu za jua zitavunjika; nami nitawatupa wana wenu waliouawa mbele ya vinyago vyenu.
Your altars will be demolished and your incense altars will be smashed; and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

Nami nitaiweka mizoga ya wana wa Israeli mbele ya vinyago vyao; nami nitaitawanya mifupa yenu pande zote za madhabahu zenu.
I will lay the corpses of the Israelites before their idols and scatter your bones around your altars.

Kila mahali mkaapo miji itaharibika, na mahali palipoinuka patakuwa ukiwa; ili madhabahu zenu ziharibiwe, na kufanywa ukiwa, na vinyago vyenu vivunjwe, na kukoma, na sanamu zenu za jua zikatwe, na kuangushwa, na kazi zenu zifutwe kabisa.
Wherever you live, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be demolished, so that your altars will be laid waste and desecrated, your idols smashed and obliterated, your incense altars cut down, and your works blotted out.

Na hao waliouawa wataanguka katikati yenu; nanyi mtajua ya kuwa mimi ndimi Bwana.
The slain will fall among you, and you will know that I am the LORD.

Lakini nitasaza mabaki; maana mtakuwa na baadhi ya watu watakaoukimbia upanga kati ya mataifa, mtakapokuwa mmetawanyika katika nchi za watu.
Yet I will leave a remnant, for some of you will escape the sword when you are scattered among the nations and throughout the lands.

Na hao wa kwenu watakaookoka watanikumbuka kati ya mataifa, watakakochukuliwa mateka, jinsi nilivyoiponda mioyo yao ya kikahaba, iliyoniacha, na macho yao, yaendayo kufanya uasherati na vinyago vyao; nao watajichukia nafsi zao machoni pao wenyewe, kwa sababu ya mabaya yao yote, waliyoyatenda kwa machukizo yao yote.
Then in the nations to which they have been carried captive, your survivors will remember Me—how I have been grieved by their adulterous hearts that turned away from Me, and by their eyes that lusted after idols. So they will loathe themselves for the evil they have done and for all their abominations.

Nao watajua ya kuwa mimi ndimi Bwana; sikusema bure kama nitawatenda mabaya hayo.
And they will know that I am the LORD; I did not declare in vain that I would bring this calamity upon them.

Bwana MUNGU asema hivi; Piga kwa mkono wako, ipige nchi kwa mguu wako, ukaseme, Ole! Kwa sababu ya machukizo maovu yote ya nyumba ya Israeli; maana wataanguka kwa upanga, na kwa njaa, na kwa tauni.
This is what the Lord GOD says: Clap your hands, stomp your feet, and cry out “Alas!” because of all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel, who will fall by sword and famine and plague.

Yeye aliye mbali sana atakufa kwa tauni; na yeye aliye karibu atakufa kwa upanga; na yeye atakayesalia, na kuhusuriwa katika mji, atakufa kwa njaa, hivyo ndivyo nitakavyoitimiza ghadhabu yangu juu yao.
He who is far off will die by the plague, he who is near will fall by the sword, and he who remains will die by famine. So I will vent My fury upon them.

Nanyi mtajua ya kuwa mimi ndimi Bwana, watu wa kwao waliouawa watakapokuwa kati ya vinyago vyao, pande zote za madhabahu zao, juu ya kila kilima kirefu, juu ya vilele vya milima, na chini ya kila mti wenye majani mabichi, na chini ya kila mwaloni mnene, pale pale walipovifukizia uvumba mzuri vinyago vyao vyote.
Then you will know that I am the LORD, when their slain lie among their idols around their altars, on every high hill, on all the mountaintops, and under every green tree and leafy oak—the places where they offered fragrant incense to all their idols.

Nami nitanyosha mkono wangu juu yao, na kuifanya nchi kuwa maganjo, tena ukiwa mbaya kuliko jangwa upande wa Dibla, katika makao yao yote; nao watajua ya kuwa mimi ndimi Bwana.
I will stretch out My hand against them, and wherever they live I will make the land a desolate waste, from the wilderness to Diblah. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’”
