Ikawa katika mwaka wa kumi na mmoja, siku ya kwanza ya mwezi, neno la Bwana likanijia, kusema,
In the eleventh month of the twelfth year, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Mwanadamu, Kwa sababu Tiro amesema juu ya Yerusalemu, Aha! Yeye amevunjika aliyekuwa lango la kabila za watu; amenigeukia; nitajazwa kwa kuwa sasa ameharibika;
“Son of man, because Tyre has said of Jerusalem, ‘Aha! The gate to the nations is broken; it has swung open to me; now that she lies in ruins I will be filled,’

basi Bwana MUNGU asema hivi; Tazama, mimi ni juu yako, Ee Tiro, nami nitaleta mataifa mengi kupigana nawe, kama bahari iinuavyo mawimbi yake.
therefore this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, O Tyre, I am against you, and I will raise up many nations against you, as the sea brings up its waves.

Nao wataziharibu kuta za Tiro, na kuibomoa minara yake; tena nitakwangua hata mavumbi yake yamtoke, na kumfanya kuwa jabali tupu.
They will destroy the walls of Tyre and demolish her towers. I will scrape the soil from her and make her a bare rock.

Naye atakuwa mahali pa kutandazia nyavu za wavuvi kati ya bahari; maana mimi nimenena neno hili, asema Bwana MUNGU; naye atakuwa mateka ya mataifa.
She will become a place to spread nets in the sea, for I have spoken, declares the Lord GOD. She will become plunder for the nations,

Na binti zake walio katika mashamba watauawa kwa upanga; nao watajua ya kuwa mimi ndimi Bwana.
and the villages on her mainland will be slain by the sword. Then they will know that I am the LORD.’

Maana Bwana MUNGU asema hivi; Tazama, nitamleta Nebukadreza, mfalme wa Babeli, mfalme wa wafalme, juu ya Tiro toka kaskazini, pamoja na farasi, na magari ya vita, na wapanda farasi, na jeshi, na watu wengi.
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Behold, I will bring against Tyre from the north Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, with horses and chariots, with cavalry and a great company of troops.

Atawaua binti zako kwa upanga katika mashamba; naye atafanya ngome juu yako, na kufanya maboma juu yako, na kuiinua ngao juu yako.
He will slaughter the villages of your mainland with the sword; he will set up siege works against you, build a ramp to your walls, and raise his shields against you.

Naye ataweka vyombo vyake vya kubomolea mbele za kuta zako, na kwa mashoka yake ataiangusha chini minara yako.
He will direct the blows of his battering rams against your walls and tear down your towers with his axes.

Kwa sababu wingi wa farasi zake, mavumbi yao yatakufunika; kuta zako zitatetemeka kwa sababu ya mshindo wa wapanda farasi, na wa magurudumu, na wa magari ya vita, atakapoingia katika malango yako, kama watu waingiavyo katika mji uliobomolewa mahali.
His multitude of horses will cover you in their dust. When he enters your gates as an army entering a breached city, your walls will shake from the noise of cavalry, wagons, and chariots.

Kwa kwato za farasi zake atazikanyaga njia zako zote; atawaua watu wako kwa upanga, na minara ya nguvu zako itashuka hata nchi.
The hooves of his horses will trample all your streets. He will slaughter your people with the sword, and your mighty pillars will fall to the ground.

Nao wataufanya utajiri wako kuwa mateka, na bidhaa yako kuwa mawindo; nao watazibomoa kuta zako, na kuziharibu nyumba zako zipendezazo; nao wataweka mawe yako, na miti yako, na mavumbi yako, kati ya maji.
They will plunder your wealth and pillage your merchandise. They will demolish your walls, tear down your beautiful homes, and throw your stones and timber and soil into the water.

Nami nitaikomesha sauti ya nyimbo zako, wala sauti ya vinubi vyako haitasikiwa tena.
So I will silence the sound of your songs, and the music of your lyres will no longer be heard.
14
Nami nitakufanya kuwa jabali tupu; utakuwa mahali pa kutandazia nyavu za wavuvi; hutajengwa tena; maana mimi, Bwana, nimenena neno hili, asema Bwana MUNGU.
I will make you a bare rock, and you will become a place to spread the fishing nets. You will never be rebuilt, for I, the LORD, have spoken, declares the Lord GOD.’

Bwana MUNGU amwambia Tiro neno hili; Je! Visiwa havitatikisika kwa mshindo wa kuanguka kwako, watakapougua waliojeruhiwa, yatakapofanyika machinjo kati yako.
This is what the Lord GOD says to Tyre: ‘Will not the coastlands quake at the sound of your downfall, when the wounded groan at the slaughter in your midst?

Ndipo wakuu wote wa bahari watashuka kutoka viti vyao vya enzi, na kuweka upande mavazi yao, na kuvua nguo zao zilizotiwa taraza; watajivika matetemeko; wataketi na kutetemeka kila dakika, na kukustaajabia,
All the princes of the sea will descend from their thrones, remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments. Clothed with terror, they will sit on the ground, trembling every moment, appalled over you.

Nao watakufanyia maombolezo, na kukuambia, Imekuwaje wewe kuharibika, wewe uliyekaliwa na wana-maji, mji wenye sifa, uliyekuwa na nguvu katika bahari, mji huo, na hao waliokaa ndani yake, waliowatia hofu wote waliokaa ndani yake!
Then they will lament for you, saying, “How you have perished, O city of renown inhabited by seafaring men—she who was powerful on the sea, along with her people, who imposed terror on all peoples!

Sasa visiwa vitatetemeka katika siku ya kuanguka kwako; naam, visiwa vilivyo katika bahari vitafadhaika, kwa sababu ya kuondoka kwako.
Now the coastlands tremble on the day of your downfall; the islands in the sea are dismayed by your demise.”’

Maana Bwana MUNGU asema hivi; Nitakapokufanya kuwa mji wa ukiwa, kama miji isiyokaliwa na watu; nitakapoleta vilindi vya bahari juu yako, na maji makuu yatakapokufunika;
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘When I make you a desolate city like other deserted cities, and when I raise up the deep against you so that the mighty waters cover you,

ndipo nitakapokushusha pamoja nao washukao shimoni, uende kwa watu wa kale; nami nitakukalisha pande za chini za nchi; mahali palipokuwa ukiwa tangu zamani, pamoja nao washukao shimoni; ili usikaliwe na watu, wala usiweke utukufu wako katika nchi yao walio hai.
then I will bring you down with those who descend to the Pit, to the people of antiquity. I will make you dwell in the earth below like the ancient ruins, with those who descend to the Pit, so that you will no longer be inhabited or set in splendor in the land of the living.

Nitakufanya kuwa kitu cha kutisha, wala hutakuwako tena; ujapotafutwa, lakini hutaonekana tena kabisa, asema Bwana MUNGU.
I will make you an object of horror, and you will be no more. You will be sought, but will never be found,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
