Now the children of Israel after their number, the heads of fathers' [houses] and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and their officers who served the king, in any matter of the divisions which came in and went out month by month throughout all the months of the year--of every division were twenty-four thousand.
Juu ya zamu ya kwanza ya mwezi wa kwanza alikuwa Yashobeamu, mwana wa Zabdieli; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
Over the first division for the first month was Jashobeam the son of Zabdiel: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Yeye alikuwa wa wana wa Peresi, mkuu wa maakida wote wa jeshi mwezi wa kwanza.
[He was] of the children of Perez, the chief of all the captains of the host for the first month.
Na juu ya zamu ya mwezi wa pili alikuwa Dodai, Mwahohi, na zamu yake; na Miklothi alikuwa amiri; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
Over the division of the second month was Dodai the Ahohite, and his division; and Mikloth the ruler: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa tatu wa jeshi mwezi wa tatu alikuwa Benaya, mwana wa Yehoyada, kuhani; alikuwa mkuu, na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The third captain of the host for the third month was Benaiah, the son of Jehoiada the priest, chief: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Huyo Benaya ndiye yule aliyekuwa shujaa wa wale thelathini, na juu ya wale thelathini; na katika zamu yake alikuwa Amizabadi mwanawe.
This is that Benaiah, who was the mighty man of the thirty, and over the thirty: and [of] his division was Ammizabad his son.
Akida wa nne wa mwezi wa nne alikuwa Asaheli, nduguye Yoabu, na Zebadia mwanawe baada yake; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The fourth [captain] for the fourth month was Asahel the brother of Joab, and Zebadiah his son after him: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa tano wa mwezi wa tano alikuwa Shamhuthi, Mwizrahi; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The fifth captain for this fifth month was Shamhuth the Izrahite: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa sita wa mwezi wa sita alikuwa Ira, mwana wa Ikeshi, Mtekoi; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The sixth [captain] for the sixth month was Ira the son of Ikkesh the Tekoite: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa saba wa mwezi wa saba alikuwa Heksi, Mpeloni, wa wana wa Efraimu; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The seventh [captain] for the seventh month was Helez the Pelonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa nane wa mwezi wa nane alikuwa Sibekai, Mhushathi, wa Wazera; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The eighth [captain] for the eighth month was Sibbecai the Hushathite, of the Zerahites: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa kenda wa mwezi wa kenda alikuwa Abiezeri, Mwanathothi, wa Wabenyamini; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The ninth [captain] for the ninth month was Abiezer the Anathothite, of the Benjamites: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa kumi wa mwezi wa kumi alikuwa Maharai, Mnetofathi, wa Wazera; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The tenth [captain] for the tenth month was Maharai the Netophathite, of the Zerahites: and in his division were Twenty-four thousand.

The eleventh [captain] for the eleventh month was Benaiah the Pirathonite, of the children of Ephraim: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.
Akida wa kumi na mbili wa mwezi wa kumi na mbili alikuwa Heledi, Mnetofathi, wa Othnieli; na katika zamu yake walikuwa watu ishirini na nne elfu.
The twelfth [captain] for the twelfth month was Heldai the Netophathite, of Othniel: and in his division were twenty-four thousand.

Furthermore over the tribes of Israel: of the Reubenites was Eliezer the son of Zichri the ruler: of the Simeonites, Shephatiah the son of Maacah:
wa Lawi, Hashabia mwana wa Kemueli; wa Haruni, Sadoki;
of Levi, Hashabiah the son of Kemuel: of Aaron, Zadok:
wa Yuda, Elihu, mmojawapo wa nduguze Daudi; wa Isakari, Omri mwana wa Mikaeli;
of Judah, Elihu, one of the brothers of David: of Issachar, Omri the son of Michael:
wa Zabuloni, Ishmaya mwana wa Obadia; wa Naftali, Yeromothi mwana wa Azrieli;
of Zebulun, Ishmaiah the son of Obadiah: of Naphtali, Jeremoth the son of Azriel:
wa wana wa Efraimu, Hoshea mwana wa Azazia, wa nusu kabila ya Manase, Yoeli mwana wa Pedaya;
of the children of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Azaziah: of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Joel the son of Pedaiah:
wa nusu kabila ya Manase katika Gileadi, Ido mwana wa Zekaria; wa Benyamini, Yaasieli mwana wa Abneri;
of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Gilead, Iddo the son of Zechariah: of Benjamin, Jaasiel the son of Abner:
wa Dani, Azareli mwana wa Yerohamu. Hao walikuwa maakida wa kabila za Israeli.
of Dan, Azarel the son of Jeroham. These were the captains of the tribes of Israel.
Lakini Daudi hakufanya hesabu yao wenye miaka ishirini na waliopungua; kwa kuwa Bwana alikuwa amesema, ya kwamba atawaongeza Israeli mfano wa nyota za mbinguni.
But David didn't take the number of them from twenty years old and under, because Yahweh had said he would increase Israel like the stars of the sky.
Yoabu, mwana wa Seruya, akaanza kuhesabu, lakini hakumaliza; na ghadhabu ikawapata Israeli kwa hayo; wala haikuhesabiwa hesabu hiyo ndani ya taarifa za mfalme Daudi.
Joab the son of Zeruiah began to number, but didn't finish; and there came wrath for this on Israel; neither was the number put into the account in the chronicles of king David.

Over the king's treasures was Azmaveth the son of Adiel: and over the treasures in the fields, in the cities, and in the villages, and in the towers, was Jonathan the son of Uzziah:
na juu ya hao wenye kazi ya shamba kuilima ardhi alikuwa Ezri mwana wa Kelubu;
Over those who did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:
na juu ya mashamba ya mizabibu alikuwa Shimei, Mramathi; na juu ya mazao ya mizabibu kwa ghala za mvinyo alikuwa Zabdi, Mshifmi;
and over the vineyards was Shimei the Ramathite: and over the increase of the vineyards for the wine-cellars was Zabdi the Shiphmite:
na juu ya mizeituni na mikuyu iliyokuwamo katika Shefela alikuwa Baal-hanani, Mgederi; na juu ya ghala za mafuta alikuwa Yoashi;
and over the olive trees and the sycamore trees that were in the lowland was Baal Hanan the Gederite: and over the cellars of oil was Joash:
na juu ya makundi ya ng'ombe waliolishwa katika Sharoni alikuwa Shitrai, Msharoni; na juu ya makundi waliokuwamo mabondeni alikuwa Shafati mwana wa Adlai;
and over the herds that fed in Sharon was Shitrai the Sharonite: and over the herds that were in the valleys was Shaphat the son of Adlai:
na juu ya ngamia alikuwa Obili, Mwishmaeli; na juu ya punda alikuwa Yedeya, Mmeronothi;
and over the camels was Obil the Ishmaelite: and over the donkeys was Jehdeiah the Meronothite: and over the flocks was Jaziz the Hagrite.
na juu ya makundi ya kondoo alikuwa Yazizi, Mhagri. Hao wote walikuwa maakida wa akiba alizokuwa nazo mfalme Daudi.
All these were the rulers of the substance which was king David's.
Naye Yonathani, mjombawe Daudi, alikuwa mshauri, na mtu wa akili, na mwandishi; Yehieli mwana wa Hakmoni alikuwa pamoja na wana wa mfalme;
Also Jonathan, David's uncle, was a counselor, a man of understanding, and a scribe: and Jehiel the son of Hachmoni was with the king's sons:
na Ahithofeli alikuwa mshauri wake mfalme; na Hushai, Mwarki, alikuwa rafiki yake mfalme;
Ahithophel was the king's counselor: and Hushai the Archite was the king's friend:
na, baada ya Ahithofeli, walikuwa Yehoyada mwana wa Benaya, na Abiathari; na jemadari wa jeshi la mfalme alikuwa Yoabu. </p>
and after Ahithophel was Jehoiada the son of Benaiah, and Abiathar: and the captain of the king's host was Joab.
