Kisha Daudi akawakusanya huko Yerusalemu wakuu wote wa Israeli, wakuu wa kabila, na maakida wa vikosi wenye kumtumikia mfalme kwa zamu, na maakida wa maelfu, na maakida wa mamia, na wenye kutawala juu ya mali na milki za mfalme, na za wanawe, pamoja na matowashi, na mashujaa, naam, waume mashujaa wote.
Now David summoned all the leaders of Israel to Jerusalem: the leaders of the tribes, the leaders of the divisions in the king’s service, the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, and the officials in charge of all the property and cattle of the king and his sons, along with the court officials and mighty men—every mighty man of valor.

Ndipo Daudi mfalme akasimama kwa miguu yake, akasema, Nisikilizeni, ndugu zangu, na watu wangu; Mimi nalikuwa na nia ya kuijenga nyumba ya kustarehe kwa ajili ya sanduku la agano la Bwana, na kiti cha kuwekea miguu yake cha Mungu wetu; hata nalikuwa nimeweka tayari kwa kujenga.
Then King David rose to his feet and said, “Listen to me, my brothers and my people. It was in my heart to build a house as a resting place for the ark of the covenant of the LORD and as a footstool for our God. I had made preparations to build it,

Lakini Mungu akaniambia, Wewe hutajenga nyumba kwa ajili ya jina langu, kwa sababu umekuwa mtu wa vita, nawe umemwaga damu.
but God said to me, ‘You are not to build a house for My Name, because you are a man of war who has shed blood.’

Walakini Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, alinichagua katika nyumba yote ya babangu kuwa mfalme juu ya Israeli milele, kwa kuwa amemchagua Yuda awe mkuu; na katika nyumba ya Yuda, alichagua nyumba ya babangu, na miongoni mwa wana wa babangu, aliniridhia mimi ili kunitawaza niwe mfalme juu ya Israeli wote;
Yet the LORD, the God of Israel, chose me out of all my father’s house to be king over Israel forever. For He chose Judah as leader, and from the house of Judah He chose my father’s household, and from my father’s sons He was pleased to make me king over all Israel.

tena katika wana wangu wote (kwani Bwana amenipa wana wengi), amemchagua Sulemani mwanangu ili aketi juu ya kiti cha enzi cha ufalme wa Bwana, juu ya Israeli.
And of all my sons—for the LORD has given me many sons—He has chosen Solomon my son to sit on the throne of the kingdom of the LORD over Israel.

Akaniambia, Sulemani, mwanao, ndiye atakayeijenga nyumba yangu na nyua zangu; kwa kuwa nimemchagua awe mwanangu, nami nitakuwa babaye.
And He said to me, ‘Solomon your son is the one who will build My house and My courts, for I have chosen him as My son, and I will be his Father.

Na ufalme wake nitauweka imara milele, akijitia kwa bidii kuzitenda amri zangu na hukumu zangu, kama hivi leo.
I will establish his kingdom forever, if he resolutely carries out My commandments and ordinances, as is being done this day.’

Basi sasa, machoni pa Israeli wote, hilo kusanyiko la Bwana, na masikioni pa Mungu wetu, angalieni na kuzitafuta amri zote za Bwana, Mungu wenu, ili mpate kuimiliki nchi hii njema, na kuwarithisha wana wenu baada yenu hata milele.
So now in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, keep and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God, so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance to your descendants forever.

Nawe, Sulemani mwanangu, mjue Mungu wa baba yako, ukamtumikie kwa moyo mkamilifu, na kwa nia ya kumkubali; kwa kuwa Bwana hutafuta-tafuta mioyo yote, na kuyatambua mawazo yote ya fikira; ukimtafuta, ataonekana nawe; ukimwacha, atakutupa milele.
As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

Jihadhari basi; kwani Bwana amekuchagua wewe ili ujenge nyumba itakayokuwa mahali patakatifu; uwe hodari ukatende hivyo.
Consider now that the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.”

Ndipo Daudi akampa Sulemani mwanawe mfano wa ukumbi wa hekalu, na nyumba zake, na hazina zake, na orofa zake, na vyumba vyake vya ndani, na mahali pa kiti cha rehema;
Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, storehouses, upper rooms, inner rooms, and the room for the mercy seat.

na mfano wa yote aliyokuwa nayo kwa roho, katika habari ya nyua za nyumba ya Bwana, na ya vyumba vyote vilivyoizunguka, ya hazina za nyumba ya Mungu, na ya hazina za vitu vilivyowekwa wakfu;
The plans contained everything David had in mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, for all the surrounding rooms, for the treasuries of the house of God and of the dedicated things,

tena katika habari ya zamu za makuhani na Walawi, na ya kazi yote ya huo utumishi wa nyumba ya Bwana, na ya vyombo vyote vya utumishi nyumbani mwa Bwana;
for the divisions of the priests and Levites, for all the work of service in the house of the LORD, and for all the articles of service in the house of the LORD:

the weight of all the gold articles for every kind of service; the weight of all the silver articles for every kind of service;

kwa uzani tena kwa vinara vya dhahabu, na kwa taa zake za dhahabu, kwa uzani, kwa kila kinara, na kwa taa zake; na kwa vinara vya fedha, kwa uzani kwa kila kinara na kwa taa zake, kwa kadiri ya matumizi ya kila kinara;
the weight of the gold lampstands and their lamps, including the weight of each lampstand and its lamps; the weight of each silver lampstand and its lamps, according to the use of each lampstand;

na dhahabu kwa uzani kwa meza za mikate ya wonyesho, kwa kila meza; na fedha kwa meza za fedha;
the weight of gold for each table of showbread, and of silver for the silver tables;

na nyuma, na mabakuli, na vikombe vya dhahabu safi; na kwa matasa ya dhahabu, kwa uzani kwa kila tasa; na kwa matasa ya fedha, kwa uzani kwa kila tasa;
the weight of the pure gold for the forks, sprinkling bowls, and pitchers; the weight of each gold dish; the weight of each silver bowl;

na kwa madhabahu ya kufukizia, dhahabu iliyosafika sana kwa uzani; na dhahabu kwa mfano wa gari, yaani, makerubi, yenye kutandaza mabawa, na kulifunika sanduku la agano la Bwana.
the weight of the refined gold for the altar of incense; and the plans for the chariot of the gold cherubim that spread their wings and overshadowed the ark of the covenant of the LORD.

Hayo yote, akasema Daudi, yamenielea kwa maandiko kutoka kwa mkono wa Bwana, naam, kazi zote za mfano huu.
“All this,” said David, “all the details of this plan, the LORD has made clear to me in writing by His hand upon me.”

Kisha Daudi akamwambia Sulemani mwanawe, Uwe hodari, mwenye moyo mkuu, ukatende hivyo; usiogope wala usifadhaike; kwa kuwa Bwana, Mungu, Mungu wangu, yu pamoja nawe; yeye hatakupungukia wala kukuacha, hata itakapomalizika kazi yote ya huo utumishi wa nyumba ya Bwana.
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do it. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you before all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.

Na tazama, hizo zamu za makuhani na Walawi ziko, kwa utumishi wote wa nyumba ya Mungu; nao watakuwapo pamoja nawe kwa kazi ya kila namna, kila mtu mwenye hiari, aliye stadi kwa utumishi wo wote; tena maakida na watu wote watakuwa chini ya amri yako kabisa.
The divisions of the priests and Levites are ready for all the service of the house of God, and every willing man of every skill will be at your disposal for the work. The officials and all the people are fully at your command.”
