So they brought the ark of God and placed it inside the tent that David had pitched for it. And they presented burnt offerings and peace offerings before God.

Na Daudi alipokwisha kuitoa sadaka ya kuteketezwa na sadaka za amani, akawabariki watu kwa jina la Bwana.
When David had finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.

Kisha akawagawia kila mtu wa Israeli, waume kwa wake, kila mtu mkate wa ngano, na kipande cha nyama, na mkate wa zabibu.
Then he distributed to every man and woman of Israel a loaf of bread, a date cake, and a raisin cake.

Akawaagiza baadhi ya Walawi kwamba watumike mbele ya sanduku la Bwana, wamfanyie ukumbusho, na shukrani, na sifa, Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli;
David appointed some of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate, to give thanks, and to praise the LORD, the God of Israel.

Asafu mkuu wao, na wa pili wake Zekaria, na Yeieli, na Shemiramothi, na Yehieli, na Matithiya, na Eliabu, na Benaya, na Obed-edomu, na Yeieli, wenye vinanda na vinubi; naye Asafu mwenye kupiga matoazi;
Asaph was the chief, Zechariah was second, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-edom, and Jeiel. They were to play the harps and lyres, while Asaph sounded the cymbals

nao makuhani Benaya na Yahazieli wenye baragumu daima, mbele ya sanduku la agano la Mungu.
and the priests Benaiah and Jahaziel blew the trumpets regularly before the ark of the covenant of God.

Ndipo siku hiyo Daudi alipoagiza kwanza kumshukuru Bwana, kwa mkono wa Asafu na nduguze.
On that day David first committed to Asaph and his associates this song of thanksgiving to the LORD:

Mshukuruni Bwana, liitieni jina lake; Wajulisheni watu matendo yake.
“Give thanks to the LORD; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the nations.
9
Mwimbieni, mwimbieni kwa zaburi; Zitafakarini ajabu zake zote.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wonders.
10
Jisifuni kwa jina lake takatifu; Na ufurahi moyo wao wamtafutao Bwana.
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
11
Mtakeni Bwana na nguvu zake; Utafuteni uso wake siku zote.
Seek out the LORD and His strength; seek His face always.
12
Zikumbukeni ajabu zake alizozifanya; Miujiza yake na hukumu za kinywa chake;
Remember the wonders He has done, His marvels, and the judgments He has pronounced,
13
Enyi wazao wa Israeli, mtumishi wake, Enyi wana wa Yakobo, wateule wake.
O offspring of His servant Israel, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones.
14
Yeye, Bwana, ndiye Mungu wetu; Duniani mwote mna hukumu zake.
He is the LORD our God; His judgments carry throughout the earth.
15
Likumbukeni agano lake milele, Neno lile aliloviamuru vizazi elfu.
Remember His covenant forever, the word He ordained for a thousand generations—
16
Agano alilofanya na Ibrahimu, Na uapo wake kwa Isaka;
the covenant He made with Abraham, and the oath He swore to Isaac.
17
Alilomthibitishia Yakobo kuwa amri, Na Israeli liwe agano la milele.
He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:

Akisema, Nitakupa wewe nchi ya Kanaani, Iwe urithi wenu mliopimiwa;
‘I will give you the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.’
19
Mlipokuwa watu wawezao kuhesabiwa; Naam, watu wachache na wageni ndani yake.
When they were few in number, few indeed, and strangers in the land,
20
Wakatanga-tanga toka taifa hata taifa, Toka ufalme mmoja hata kwa watu wengine.
they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
21
Hakumwacha mtu awaonee; Hata wafalme aliwakemea kwa ajili yao;
He let no man oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf:
22
Akisema, Msiwaguse masihi wangu, Wala msiwadhuru nabii zangu.
‘Do not touch My anointed ones! Do no harm to My prophets!’

Mwimbieni Bwana, nchi yote; Tangazeni wokovu wake siku kwa siku.
Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation day after day.
24
Wahubirini mataifa habari za utukufu wake, Na watu wote habari za maajabu yake.
Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.
25
Kwa kuwa Bwana ni mkuu mwenye kusifiwa sana; Na wa kuhofiwa kuliko miungu yote.
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.
26
Maana miungu yote ya watu si kitu; Lakini Bwana ndiye aliyezifanya mbingu.
For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.
27
Heshima na adhama ziko mbele zake; Nguvu na furaha zipo mahali pake.
Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy fill His dwelling.
28
Mpeni Bwana, enyi jamaa za watu, Mpeni Bwana utukufu na nguvu.
Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
29
Mpeni Bwana utukufu wa jina lake; Leteni sadaka, mje mbele zake; Mwabuduni Bwana kwa uzuri wa utakatifu;
Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness;
30
Tetemekeni mbele zake, nchi yote.
tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
31
Mbingu na zifurahi, nchi na ishangilie; Na waseme katika mataifa, Bwana ametamalaki;
Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice. Let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns!’
32
Bahari na ivume na vyote viijazavyo; Mashamba na yashangilie na vyote vilivyomo;
Let the sea resound, and all that fills it; let the fields exult, and all that is in them.
33
Ndipo miti yote ya mwituni iimbe kwa furaha,
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth.
34
Mshukuruni Bwana kwa kuwa ni mwema; Kwa maana fadhili zake ni za milele.
Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever.
35
Nanyi mkaseme, Ee Mungu wa wokovu wetu, utuokoe, Utukusanye kwa kututoa katika mataifa, Tulishukuru jina lako takatifu, Tuzifanyie shangwe sifa zako.
Then cry out: ‘Save us, O God of our salvation; gather and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to Your holy name, that we may glory in Your praise.’

Na ahimidiwe Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, tangu milele hata milele. Na watu wote wakasema, Amina; wakamhimidi Bwana.
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting.” Then all the people said, “Amen!” and “Praise the LORD!”
37
Basi akawaacha huko, mbele ya sanduku la agano la Bwana, Asafu na nduguze, ili watumike mbele ya sanduku daima, kila siku kama ilivyokuwa kazi yake.
So David left Asaph and his associates there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to minister there regularly according to the daily requirements,

Naye Obed-edomu, pamoja na ndugu zao, sitini na wanane; Obed-edomu na mwana wa Yeduthuni, na Hosa, wawe mabawabu;
along with Obed-edom and his sixty-eight relatives. Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were to be gatekeepers.

na Sadoki kuhani, na nduguze makuhani, mbele ya maskani ya Bwana katika mahali pa juu palipokuwa huko Gibeoni,
And David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the LORD at the high place in Gibeon
40
ili kumtolea Bwana sadaka za kuteketezwa juu ya madhabahu ya sadaka ya kuteketezwa daima asubuhi na jioni, naam, sawasawa na yote yaliyoandikwa katika torati ya Bwana, aliyowaamuru Israeli;
to regularly present burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offerings, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the Law of the LORD, which He had commanded Israel to keep.
41
na pamoja nao Hemani na Yeduthuni, na wale wengine waliochaguliwa, waliotajwa majina yao, ili kumshukuru Bwana, kwa kuwa fadhili zake ni za milele;
With them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD, for “His loving devotion endures forever.”

na pamoja nao Hemani na Yeduthuni wenye baragumu na matoazi, kwa hao watakaovumisha sauti, na vinanda kwa ajili ya hizo nyimbo za Mungu; na hao wana wa Yeduthuni wawepo mlangoni.
Heman and Jeduthun had with them trumpets and cymbals for the music and instruments for the songs of God. And the sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.

Kisha watu wote wakaenda zao kila mtu nyumbani kwake; naye Daudi akarudi ili awabariki watu wa nyumbani mwake.
Then all the people departed for their homes, and David returned home to bless his household.
