Moyo wa mfalme huwa katika mkono wa Bwana; Kama mifereji ya maji huugeuza po pote apendapo. Mithali 21:1

The king's heart is in Yahweh's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.

Kila njia ya mtu ni sawa machoni pake mwenyewe; Bali Bwana huipima mioyo. Mithali 21:2

Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, But Yahweh weighs the hearts.

Kutenda haki na hukumu Humpendeza Bwana kuliko kutoa sadaka. Mithali 21:3

To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice.

Macho yenye kiburi, na moyo wa kutakabari, Hata ukulima wa waovu, ni dhambi. Mithali 21:4

A high look, and a proud heart, The lamp of the wicked, is sin.

Mawazo ya wenye bidii huuelekea utajiri tu; Bali kila mwenye pupa huuelekea uhitaji. Mithali 21:5

The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; And everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty.

Kupata akiba ya mali kwa ulimi wa uongo Ni moshi upeperushwao; ni kutafuta mauti. Mithali 21:6

Getting treasures by a lying tongue Is a fleeting vapor for those who seek death.

Jeuri ya wabaya itawaondolea mbali; Kwa sababu wamekataa kutenda hukumu. Mithali 21:7

The violence of the wicked will drive them away, Because they refuse to do what is right.

Njia yake aliyelemewa na dhambi imepotoka sana; Bali mtu aliye safi, kazi yake ni sawasawa. Mithali 21:8

The way of the guilty is devious, But the conduct of the innocent is upright.

Ni afadhali kukaa katika pembe ya darini, Kuliko katika nyumba pana pamoja na mwanamke mgomvi. Mithali 21:9

It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, Than to share a house with a contentious woman.

Nafsi ya mtu mbaya hutamani uovu; Jirani yake hapati fadhili machoni pake. Mithali 21:10

The soul of the wicked desires evil; His neighbor finds no mercy in his eyes.

Mwenye mzaha aadhibiwapo, mjinga hupata hekima; Na mwenye hekima afundishwapo, hupokea maarifa. Mithali 21:11

When the mocker is punished, the simple gains wisdom; When the wise is instructed, he receives knowledge.

Mwenye haki huitafakari nyumba ya mtu mbaya; Jinsi wabaya waangushwavyo wakaangamia. Mithali 21:12

The Righteous One considers the house of the wicked, And brings the wicked to ruin.

Azibaye masikio yake asisikie kilio cha maskini, Yeye naye atalia, lakini hatasikiwa. Mithali 21:13

Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor, He will also cry out, but shall not be heard.

Kipawa cha siri hutuliza hasira; Na rushwa bindoni humliza ghadhabu kali. Mithali 21:14

A gift in secret pacifies anger; And a bribe in the cloak, strong wrath.

Ni furaha yao wenye haki kutenda hukumu; Lakini ni uharibifu kwao watendao maovu. Mithali 21:15

It is joy to the righteous to do justice; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.

Mtu aikosaye njia ya busara Atakaa katika mkutano wao waliokufa. Mithali 21:16

The man who wanders out of the way of understanding Shall rest in the assembly of the dead.

Mtu apendaye anasa atakuwa maskini; Apendaye mvinyo na mafuta hatakuwa tajiri. Mithali 21:17

He who loves pleasure shall be a poor man: He who loves wine and oil shall not be rich.

Mtu asiye haki ni fidia ya wenye haki; Naye afanyaye hila ni badala ya watu wa adili. Mithali 21:18

The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; The treacherous for the upright.

Ni afadhali kukaa katika nchi ya nyika; Kuliko na mwanamke mgomvi, mchokozi. Mithali 21:19

It is better to dwell in a desert land, Than with a contentious and fretful woman.

Kuna hazina ya thamani na mafuta katika maskani ya mwenye hekima; Bali mwanadamu aliye mpumbavu huyameza. Mithali 21:20

There is precious treasure and oil in the dwelling of the wise; But a foolish man swallows it up.

Aandamaye haki na fadhili, Ataona uhai na haki na heshima. Mithali 21:21

He who follows after righteousness and kindness Finds life, righteousness, and honor.

Mwenye hekima huupandia mji wao wenye nguvu; Na kuziangusha nguvu za tumaini lao. Mithali 21:22

A wise man scales the city of the mighty, And brings down the strength of its confidence.

Mtu azuiaye kinywa chake na ulimi wake, Atajilinda nafsi yake na taabu. Mithali 21:23

Whoever guards his mouth and his tongue Keeps his soul from troubles.

Mwenye kiburi na kutakabari, jina lake ni mbishi; Hutenda mambo katika majivuno ya kiburi chake. Mithali 21:24

The proud and haughty man, "scoffer" is his name; He works in the arrogance of pride.

Matakwa yake mtu mvivu humfisha, Kwa maana mikono yake hukataa kufanya kazi. Mithali 21:25

The desire of the sluggard kills him, For his hands refuse to labor.

Kuna atamaniye kwa choyo mchana kutwa; Bali mwenye haki hutoa wala hanyimi. Mithali 21:26

There are those who covet greedily all the day long; But the righteous give and don't withhold.

Sadaka ya wasio haki ni chukizo; Si zaidi sana ailetapo mwenye nia mbaya! Mithali 21:27

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination: How much more, when he brings it with a wicked mind!

Shahidi wa uongo atapotea; Bali mtu asikiaye atasema maneno yadumuyo. Mithali 21:28

A false witness will perish, And a man who listens speaks to eternity.

Asiye haki huufanya uso wake kuwa mgumu; Bali mtu mnyofu huzifikiri njia zake. Mithali 21:29

A wicked man hardens his face; But as for the upright, he establishes his ways.

Hapana hekima, wala ufahamu, Wala shauri, juu ya Bwana. Mithali 21:30

There is no wisdom nor understanding Nor counsel against Yahweh.

Farasi huwekwa tayari kwa siku ya vita; Lakini Bwana ndiye aletaye wokovu. Mithali 21:31

The horse is prepared for the day of battle; But victory is with Yahweh.
