Manase alikuwa na umri wa miaka kumi na miwili alipoanza kutawala; akatawala katika Yerusalemu miaka hamsini na mitano.
Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years.

Akafanya yaliyo maovu machoni pa Bwana, sawasawa na machukizo yote ya mataifa, aliowafukuza Bwana mbele ya wana wa Israeli.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD by following the abominations of the nations that the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.

Kwa maana akapajenga tena mahali pa juu alipopabomoa Hezekia babaye; akazisimamisha madhabahu za mabaali, akafanya na sanamu za maashera, akaabudu jeshi lote la mbinguni, na kulitumikia.
For he rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had torn down, and he raised up altars for the Baals and made Asherah poles. And he worshiped and served all the host of heaven.

Akajenga madhabahu katika nyumba ya Bwana, napo ndipo alipopanena Bwana, Katika Yerusalemu litakuwako jina langu milele.
Manasseh also built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, “My Name will remain in Jerusalem forever.”

Akajenga madhabahu kwa ajili ya jeshi lote la mbinguni katika nyua mbili za nyumba ya Bwana.
In both courtyards of the house of the LORD, he built altars to all the host of heaven.

Tena akawapitisha wanawe motoni katika bonde la mwana wa Hinomu; akatazama bao, akabashiri, akafanya uganga, akajishughulisha na hao wenye pepo wa utambuzi, na wachawi; akafanya mabaya mengi machoni pa Bwana, hata kumkasirisha.
He sacrificed his sons in the fire in the Valley of Ben-hinnom. He practiced sorcery, divination, and witchcraft, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did great evil in the sight of the LORD, provoking Him to anger.

Akaiweka sanamu ya kuchonga aliyoifanya, katika nyumba ya Mungu ambayo Mungu alimwambia Daudi, na Sulemani mwanawe, Katika nyumba hii, na katika Yerusalemu, niliouchagua miongoni mwa kabila zote za Israeli, nitaliweka jina langu milele;
Manasseh even took the carved image he had made and set it up in the house of God, of which God had said to David and his son Solomon, “In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will establish My Name forever.

wala sitawaondoshea miguu tena Israeli katika nchi niliyowaagizia baba zenu; wakiangalia tu kutenda yote niliyowaamuru, yaani, torati yote, na sheria, na maagizo, niliyowaamuru kwa mkono wa Musa.
I will never again cause the feet of the Israelites to leave the land that I assigned to your fathers, if only they are careful to do all that I have commanded them through Moses—all the laws, statutes, and judgments.”

Basi Manase akawakosesha Yuda na wenyeji wa Yerusalemu, hata wakazidi kufanya mabaya kuliko mataifa, aliowaharibu Bwana mbele ya wana wa Israeli.
So Manasseh led the people of Judah and Jerusalem astray, so that they did greater evil than the nations that the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.

Naye Bwana akasema na Manase, na watu wake; wala wasiangalie.
And the LORD spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they did not listen.

Kwa hiyo Bwana akaleta juu yao maakida wa jeshi la mfalme wa Ashuru, waliomkamata Manase kwa minyororo, wakamfunga kwa pingu, wakamchukua mpaka Babeli.
So the LORD brought against them the military commanders of the king of Assyria, who captured Manasseh, put a hook in his nose, bound him with bronze shackles, and took him to Babylon.

Hata alipokuwa katika taabu, akamsihi Bwana, Mungu wake, akajinyenyekeza sana mbele za Mungu wa baba zake.
And in his distress, Manasseh sought the favor of the LORD his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his fathers.

Akamwomba; naye akamtakabali, akayasikia maombi yake; akamrudisha tena Yerusalemu katika ufalme wake. Ndipo Manase akajua ya kwamba Bwana ndiye Mungu.
And when he prayed to Him, the LORD received his plea and heard his petition. So He brought him back to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD is God.

Hata baada ya hayo akaujengea mji wa Daudi ukuta wa nje, upande wa magharibi wa Gihoni, bondeni, hata kufika maingilio ya lango la samaki; akauzungusha Ofeli, akauinua juu sana; akaweka maakida mashujaa katika miji yote ya Yuda yenye maboma.
After this, Manasseh rebuilt the outer wall of the City of David from west of Gihon in the valley to the entrance of the Fish Gate, and he brought it around the hill of Ophel and heightened it considerably. He also stationed military commanders in all the fortified cities of Judah.

Akaiondoa miungu migeni, na hiyo sanamu nyumbani mwa Bwana, na madhabahu zote alizozijenga katika mlima wa nyumba ya Bwana, na Yerusalemu, akazitupa nje ya mji.
He removed the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the LORD, along with all the altars he had built on the temple mount and in Jerusalem, and he dumped them outside the city.

Akaijenga madhabahu ya Bwana, akatoa juu yake dhabihu za sadaka za amani, na za shukrani, akawaamuru Yuda wamtumikie Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli.
Then he restored the altar of the LORD and sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it, and he told Judah to serve the LORD, the God of Israel.

Lakini watu wakaendelea kutoa dhabihu katika mahali pa juu, ila wakamtolea Bwana, Mungu wao tu.
Nevertheless, the people still sacrificed at the high places, but only to the LORD their God.
18
Basi mambo yote ya Manase yaliyosalia, na maombi yake kwa Mungu wake, na maneno ya waonaji walionena naye kwa jina la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, tazama, yameandikwa kati ya mambo ya wafalme wa Israeli.
As for the rest of the acts of Manasseh, along with his prayer to his God and the words of the seers who spoke to him in the name of the LORD, the God of Israel, they are indeed written in the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

Sala yake pia, na jinsi Mungu alivyomtakabali, na dhambi yake yote, na kosa lake, na mahali alipopajenga mahali pa juu, na kupasimamishia maashera na sanamu za kuchonga, kabla ya kujinyenyekeza; tazama, hayo yameandikwa katika tarehe ya Hozai.
His prayer and how God received his plea, as well as all his sin and unfaithfulness, and the sites where he built high places and set up Asherah poles and idols before he humbled himself, they are indeed written in the Records of the Seers.

Basi Manase akalala na babaze, wakamzika nyumbani mwake; na Amoni mwanawe akatawala mahali pake.
And Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried at his palace. And his son Amon reigned in his place.
21
Amoni alikuwa na umri wa miaka ishirini na miwili alipoanza kutawala; akatawala katika Yerusalemu miaka miwili.
Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years.
22
Akafanya yaliyo maovu machoni pa Bwana, kama alivyofanya Manase babaye; Amoni akazitolea dhabihu sanamu zote alizozifanya Manase babaye, akazitumikia.
And he did evil in the sight of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done. Amon served and sacrificed to all the idols that his father Manasseh had made,

Wala hakujinyenyekeza mbele za Bwana, kama Manase babaye alivyojinyenyekeza; lakini huyo Amoni akaongeza makosa juu ya makosa.
but he did not humble himself before the LORD as his father Manasseh had done; instead, Amon increased his guilt.
24
Wakamfanyia fitina watumishi wake, wakamwua katika nyumba yake mwenyewe.
Then the servants of Amon conspired against him and killed him in his palace.
25
Lakini watu wa nchi wakawaua wote waliomfanyia fitina mfalme Amoni; watu wa nchi wakamfanya Yosia mwanawe awe mfalme badala yake.
But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and they made his son Josiah king in his place.
