About Guardian Angel
Guardian Angel, whose real name is Audiphaxad Peter Omwaka, is a Kenyan gospel musician, songwriter, and performer. He was born on January 29, 1989, in Butere, Kakamega County, and was raised in the Kibera slums of Nairobi. He began his professional music career in 2011 and is known for playing both the guitar and piano. His music blends dancehall, reggae, and Afro-rap with gospel lyrics.
Guardian Angel founded his own record label, Seven Heaven Music (also known as 7 Heaven Music), with a mission to support emerging gospel talent. His song catalog includes releases such as “Wakati Wa Mungu,” “Nadeka,” “Swadakta,” “Ebenezer,” “Kesho,” “Elohim,” and “Pressure.” He also collaborated with Tanzanian gospel artist Rose Muhando on the song “Kimya.”
In 2018, he won the Groove Award for Best Male Gospel Artist. Earlier, he received Groove Award nominations for Male Artiste of the Year in both 2016 and 2017. Beyond music, Guardian Angel has been involved in mentorship and social initiatives, including working with street children and supporting environmental conservation efforts.
