About Christina Shusho
Christina Shusho is a Tanzanian gospel and worship singer who performs primarily in Swahili. She was born and raised in Kigoma, Tanzania, in a religious family and discovered her faith at age fifteen. Her music career began after she joined a church choir, and she later transitioned to a solo career.
Beyond her music, Shusho is the founder of the Dreamers Centre Fellowship and has hosted a show titled Hekima za Bitina. She has also been involved in the fashion industry, including owning a modeling agency. Her recorded catalog includes the albums Kitu gani kinitenge na upendo wa Bwana, Unikumbuke, Nipe Macho, and Hararat, as well as songs such as Shusha Nyavu, Tenda Wema, Zakayo, and Ning'are.
Shusho’s work has earned recognition at several award ceremonies. She was named Best Tanzanian Artist at the Groove Awards in 2012 and Best East African Gospel Artist at the Africa Gospel Music Awards in 2013. She also received the Best Gospel Artist award at the Tanzania Music Awards in 2016 and 2017, and Best Female Gospel Artist at the NAMA Awards in 2018.
