Ndipo Ayubu akajibu na kusema, Ayabu 6:1

Then Job answered,

Laiti uchungu wangu ungepimwa, Na msiba wangu kutiwa katika mizani pamoja! Ayabu 6:2

"Oh that my anguish were weighed, And all my calamity laid in the balances!

Kwa kuwa sasa ungekuwa mzito kuliko mchanga wa bahari; Kwa hiyo maneno yangu yamekuwa ya haraka. Ayabu 6:3

For now it would be heavier than the sand of the seas, Therefore have my words been rash.

Kwa kuwa mishale ya huyo Mwenyezi i ndani yangu, Na roho yangu inainywa sumu yake; Vitisho vya Mungu vimejipanga juu yangu. Ayabu 6:4

For the arrows of the Almighty are within me, My spirit drinks up their poison. The terrors of God set themselves in array against me.

Je! Huyo punda-mwitu hulia akiwa na majani? Au, ng'ombe hulia malishoni? Ayabu 6:5

Does the wild donkey bray when he has grass? Or does the ox low over his fodder?

Je! Kitu kisicho na ladha yumkini kulika pasipo chumvi? Au je, uto wa yai una tamu iwayo yote? Ayabu 6:6

Can that which has no flavor be eaten without salt? Or is there any taste in the white of an egg?

Roho yangu inakataa hata kuvigusa; Kwangu mimi ni kama chakula kichukizacho. Ayabu 6:7

My soul refuses to touch them; They are as loathsome food to me.

Laiti ningepewa haja yangu, Naye Mungu angenipa neno hilo ninalolitamani sana! Ayabu 6:8

"Oh that I might have my request; That God would grant the thing that I long for!

Kwamba Mungu angekuwa radhi kuniseta; Kwamba angeulegeza mkono wake na kunikatilia mbali! Ayabu 6:9

Even that it would please God to crush me; That he would let loose his hand, and cut me off!

Hapo ndipo ningefarijika hata sasa; Naam, ningejikuza katika maumivu yasiyoniacha; Kwa kuwa sikuyakana maneno yake Mtakatifu. Ayabu 6:10

Be it still my consolation, Yes, let me exult in pain that doesn't spare, That I have not denied the words of the Holy One.

Nguvu zangu ni zipi, hata ningoje? Na mwisho wangu ni nini, hata nisubiri? Ayabu 6:11

What is my strength, that I should wait? What is my end, that I should be patient?

Je! Nguvu zangu ni nguvu za mawe? Au mwili wangu, je! Ni shaba? Ayabu 6:12

Is my strength the strength of stones? Or is my flesh of brass?

Je! Si kwamba sina msaada ndani yangu. Tena kwamba kufanikiwa kumeondolewa mbali nami? Ayabu 6:13

Isn't it that I have no help in me, That wisdom is driven quite from me?

Kwake huyo atakaye kuzima roho inapasa atendewe mema na rafiki; Hata kwake huyo aachaye kumcha Mwenyezi. Ayabu 6:14

"To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; Even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

Ndugu zangu wametenda udanganyifu kama kijito cha maji. Mfano wa fumbi la vijito vipitavyo. Ayabu 6:15

My brothers have dealt deceitfully as a brook, As the channel of brooks that pass away;

Vilivyokuwa vyeusi kwa sababu ya barafu, Ambamo theluji hujificha. Ayabu 6:16

Which are black by reason of the ice, in which the snow hides itself:

Wakati vipatapo moto hutoweka; Kukiwako hari, hukoma mahali pao. Ayabu 6:17

In the dry season, they vanish. When it is hot, they are consumed out of their place.

Misafara isafiriyo kwa njia yao hugeuka; Hukwea kwenda barani, na kupotea. Ayabu 6:18

The caravans that travel beside them turn aside; They go up into the waste, and perish.

Misafara ya Tema huvitazama, Majeshi ya Sheba huvingojea. Ayabu 6:19

The caravans of Tema looked, The companies of Sheba waited for them.

Wametahayari kwa sababu walitumaini; Wakaja huku, nao walifadhaika. Ayabu 6:20

They were distressed because they were confident; They came there, and were confounded.

Kwani sasa ninyi mmekuwa vivyo; Mwaona jambo la kutisha, mkaogopa. Ayabu 6:21

For now you are nothing. You see a terror, and are afraid.

Je! Nilisema, Nipeni? Au, Nitoleeni toleo katika mali yenu? Ayabu 6:22

Did I say, 'Give to me?' Or, 'Offer a present for me from your substance?'

Au, Niokoeni na mkono wa adui? Au, Nikomboeni na mikono ya hao waoneao? Ayabu 6:23

Or, 'Deliver me from the adversary's hand?' Or, 'Redeem me from the hand of the oppressors?'

Nifunzeni, nami nitanyamaa kimya; Mkanijulishe ni jambo gani nililokosa. Ayabu 6:24

"Teach me, and I will hold my peace; Cause me to understand wherein I have erred.

Jinsi yafaavyo maneno ya uelekevu! Lakini kuhoji kwenu, je! Kumeonya nini? Ayabu 6:25

How forcible are words of uprightness! But your reproof, what does it reprove?

Je! Mwafikiri kuyakemea maneno? Maana maneno ya huyo aliyekata tamaa ni kama upepo. Ayabu 6:26

Do you intend to reprove words, Seeing that the speeches of one who is desperate are as wind?

Naam, mwapenda kuwapigia kura hao mayatima, Na kufanya biashara ya rafiki yenu. Ayabu 6:27

Yes, you would even cast lots for the fatherless, And make merchandise of your friend.

Sasa basi iweni radhi kuniangalia; Kwani hakika sitanena uongo usoni penu. Ayabu 6:28

Now therefore be pleased to look at me, For surely I shall not lie to your face.

Rudini, nawasihi, lisiwe neno la udhalimu; Naam, rudini tena, neno langu ni la haki. Ayabu 6:29

Please return. Let there be no injustice; Yes, return again, my cause is righteous.

Je! Mna udhalimu ulimini mwangu? Je! Makaakaa yangu hayatambui mambo ya madhara? Ayabu 6:30

Is there injustice on my tongue? Can't my taste discern mischievous things?
