Mbona nyakati zisiwekwe na Mwenyezi? Na hao wamjuao mbona hawazioni siku zake? Ayabu 24:1

"Why aren't times laid up by the Almighty? Why don't those who know him see his days?

Wako waziondoao alama za mipaka; Huyachukua makundi kwa jeuri na kuyalisha. Ayabu 24:2

There are people who remove the landmarks. They violently take away flocks, and feed them.

Humfukuza punda wake asiye baba, Humtwaa rehani ng'ombe wake mwanamke mjane. Ayabu 24:3

They drive away the donkey of the fatherless, And they take the widow's ox for a pledge.

Humgeuza mhitaji aiache njia; Maskini wa nchi hujificha pamoja. Ayabu 24:4

They turn the needy out of the way. The poor of the earth all hide themselves.

Tazama, kama punda-mwitu jangwani Wao hutoka kwenda kazini mwao, wakitafuta chakula kwa bidii; Jangwa huwapa chakula cha watoto wao. Ayabu 24:5

Behold, as wild donkeys in the desert, They go forth to their work, seeking diligently for food; The wilderness yields them bread for their children.

Hukata nafaka zao mashambani; Na kuokota zabibu za waovu. Ayabu 24:6

They cut their provender in the field. They glean the vineyard of the wicked.

Hujilaza usiku kucha uchi pasipo nguo, Wala hawana cha kujifunika baridi. Ayabu 24:7

They lie all night naked without clothing, And have no covering in the cold.

Hutota kwa manyunyo ya milimani, Na kuambatana na jabali kwa kukosa sitara, Ayabu 24:8

They are wet with the showers of the mountains, And embrace the rock for lack of a shelter.

Wako wamwondoao matitini kwa nguvu huyo asiye na baba, Na kutwaa rehani kwa maskini; Ayabu 24:9

There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, And take a pledge of the poor,

Hata wazunguke uchi pasipo mavazi, Nao wakiwa na njaa huchukua miganda; Ayabu 24:10

So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.

Hushindika mafuta ndani ya makuta ya watu hao; Wakanyaga mashinikizo, nao wana kiu. Ayabu 24:11

They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.

Watu huugua toka mji ulio na watu wengi, Na roho yake aliyejeruhiwa hupiga ukelele; Wala Mungu hauangalii upumbavu. Ayabu 24:12

From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, Yet God doesn't regard the folly.

Hawa ni katika hao waliouasi mwanga; Hawazijui njia zake, Wala hawakai katika mapito yake. Ayabu 24:13

"These are of those who rebel against the light; They don't know the ways of it, Nor abide in the paths of it.

Mwuaji huamka asubuhi kukipambauka, huwaua maskini na wahitaji; Tena wakati wa usiku yu kama mwivi. Ayabu 24:14

The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.

Tena jicho lake mzinifu hungojea wakati wa giza-giza, Akisema, Hapana jicho litakaloniona; Naye huuficha uso wake. Ayabu 24:15

The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, Saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face.

Wao hutoboa nyumba gizani; Hujifungia ndani wakati wa mchana; Hawaujui mwanga. Ayabu 24:16

In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They don't know the light.

Kwani asubuhi kwao wote ni kama giza tupu; Kwani wao wavijua vitisho vya hiyo giza tupu. Ayabu 24:17

For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, For they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

Mwasema, Yeye ni mwepesi juu ya uso wa gharika; Sehemu yao inalaaniwa duniani; Hageuki kwenda njia ya mizabibuni. Ayabu 24:18

"They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth: They don't turn into the way of the vineyards.

Chaka na hari hukausha maji ya theluji; Kuzimu nako hao ambao wamefanya dhambi. Ayabu 24:19

Drought and heat consume the snow waters; So does Sheol those who have sinned.

Tumbo lililomzaa litamsahau; buu litamla na kuona tamu; Hatakumbukwa tena; Na udhalimu utavunjwa kama mti. Ayabu 24:20

The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

Naam, yeye huwala walio tasa wasiozaa; Wala hamtendei mema mwanamke mjane. Ayabu 24:21

He devours the barren who don't bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.

Lakini Mungu huwadumisha wenye uwezo kwa nguvu zake; Huinuka, wasiokuwa na tumaini la kuishi. Ayabu 24:22

Yet God preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.

Huwapa kuwa na salama, nao wapumzika kwayo; Na macho yake ya juu ya njia zao. Ayabu 24:23

God gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.

Wao wametukuzwa; lakini kitambo kidogo hutoweka; Naam, hushushwa, na kuondolewa njiani kama wengine wote, Nao hukatwa kama vile masuke ya ngano. Ayabu 24:24

They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, And are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.

Na kama sivyo sasa, ni nani atakayenihukumu kuwa ni mwongo, Na kuyafanya maneno yangu kuwa si kitu? Ayabu 24:25

If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, And make my speech worth nothing?"
