Kisha Bwana akanena na Musa, na kumwambia,
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Waagize wana wa Israeli, uwaambie, Mtakapoingia nchi ya Kanaani, (hii ndiyo nchi itakayowaangukia kuwa urithi, maana, hiyo nchi ya Kanaani kama mipaka yake ilivyo,)
Command the children of Israel, and tell them, When you come into the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan according to the borders of it),
ndipo upande wenu wa kusini utakuwa tangu bara ya Sini kupita kando ya Edomu, na mpaka wenu wa kusini utakuwa tangu mwisho wa Bahari ya Chumvi kuelekea mashariki;
then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the side of Edom, and your south border shall be from the end of the Salt Sea eastward;
kisha mpaka wenu utageuka kwenda upande wa kusini wa kukwelea kwake Akrabimu, kisha kupita kwendelea Sini; na kutokea kwake kutakuwa kuelekea upande wa kusini wa Kadesh-barnea; kisha utaendelea mpaka Hasar-adari, na kufikilia Azmoni;
and your border shall turn about southward of the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass along to Zin; and the goings out of it shall be southward of Kadesh-barnea; and it shall go forth to Hazar Addar, and pass along to Azmon;
kisha mpaka utageuka kutoka Azmoni kwendelea kijito cha Misri, na kutokea kwake kutakuwa hapo baharini.
and the border shall turn about from Azmon to the brook of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea.
Kisha mpaka wenu wa upande wa magharibi mtakuwa na bahari kubwa na mpaka wake; hii ndiyo mpaka wenu upande wa magharibi.
For the western border, you shall have the great sea and the border [of it]: this shall be your west border.
Kisha mpaka wenu wa upande wa kaskazini utakuwa ni huu; kutoka bahari kubwa mtajiandikia mlima wa Hori;
This shall be your north border: from the great sea you shall mark out for you Mount Hor;
na kutoka mlima wa Hori mtaandika mpaka kuingilia kwake Hamathi; na kutokea kwake mpaka kutakuwa hapo Sedada;
from Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the goings out of the border shall be at Zedad;
tena mpaka utatokea hata Zifroni, na kutokea kwake kutakuwa hapo Hasarenani; huo ndio mpaka wenu wa upande wa kaskazini.
and the border shall go forth to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar Enan: this shall be your north border.
Kisha mtaandika mpaka wenu wa upande wa mashariki kutoka Hasarenani hata Shefamu;
You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham;
kisha mpaka utatelemka kutoka Shefamu mpaka Ribla, upande wa mashariki wa Aini; kisha mpaka utatelemka na kufikilia upande wa bahari ya Kinerethi upande wa mashariki;
and the border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall go down, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward;
kisha mpaka utatelemkia Yordani, na kutokea kwake kutakuwa hapo katika Bahari ya Chumvi; hii ndiyo nchi yenu kama mipaka yake ilivyo kuizunguka pande zote.
and the border shall go down to the Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to the borders of it round about.
Kisha Musa akawaagiza wana wa Israeli, akisema, Hii ndiyo nchi mtakayoirithi kwa kupiga kura, ambayo Bwana ameagiza wapewe watu wa zile kabila kenda, na nusu ya kabila;
Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half-tribe;
kwa kuwa kabila ya wana wa Reubeni kwa nyumba za baba zao, na kabila ya wana wa Gadi kwa nyumba za baba zao, wamekwisha pata, na hiyo nusu ya kabila ya Manase wamekwisha pata urithi wao;
for the tribe of the children of Reuben according to their fathers' houses, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to their fathers' houses, have received, and the half-tribe of Manasseh have received, their inheritance:
hizo kabila mbili na nusu ya kabila wamekwisha pata urithi wao huko ng'ambo ya pili ya Yordani, hapo Yeriko, upande wa mashariki, kuelekea maawio ya jua.
the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.
Kisha Bwana akanena na Musa, na kumwambia,
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
Haya ndiyo majina ya watu watakaowagawanyia nchi iwe urithi wenu; Eleazari kuhani, na Yoshua mwana wa Nuni.
These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.
Kisha mtamtwaa mkuu mmoja wa kila kabila, ili waigawanye nchi iwe urithi wenu.
You shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.
Na majina ya watu hao ni haya; katika kabila ya Yuda, ni Kalebu mwana wa Yefune.
These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Simeoni, Shemueli mwana wa Amihudi.
Of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.
Katika kabila ya Benyamini, ni Elidadi mwana wa Kisloni.
Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Dani, mkuu, Buki mwana wa Yogli.
Of the tribe of the children of Dan a prince, Bukki the son of Jogli.
Katika wana wa Yusufu; katika kabila ya wana wa Manase, mkuu, Hanieli mwana wa Efodi;
Of the children of Joseph: of the tribe of the children of Manasseh a prince, Hanniel the son of Ephod.
na katika kabila ya wana wa Efraimu, mkuu, Kemueli mwana wa Shiftani.
Of the tribe of the children of Ephraim a prince, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Zabuloni, mkuu, Elisafani mwana wa Parnaki.
Of the tribe of the children of Zebulun a prince, Elizaphan the son of Parnach.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Isakari, mkuu, Paltieli mwana wa Azani.
Of the tribe of the children of Issachar a prince, Paltiel the son of Azzan.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Asheri, mkuu, Ahihudi mwana wa Shelomi.
Of the tribe of the children of Asher a prince, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.
Na katika kabila ya wana wa Naftali, mkuu, Pedaheli mwana wa Amihudi.
Of the tribe of the children of Naphtali a prince, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.
Hao ndio Bwana aliowaagiza wawagawanyie urithi wana wa Israeli katika nchi ya Kanaani.
These are they whom Yahweh commanded to divide the inheritance to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.
