Ee Bwana, wewe u Mungu wangu; Nitakutukuza na kulihimidi jina lako; Kwa kuwa umetenda mambo ya ajabu, Mashauri ya kale, kwa uaminifu na kweli.
O LORD, You are my God! I will exalt You; I will praise Your name. For You have worked wonders—plans formed long ago—in perfect faithfulness.

Kwa sababu umefanya mji kuwa ni chungu; Mji wenye boma kuwa ni magofu; Jumba la wageni kuwa si mji; Hautajengwa tena milele.
Indeed, You have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified town a ruin. The fortress of strangers is a city no more; it will never be rebuilt.

Kwa hiyo watu walio hodari watakutukuza, Mji wa mataifa watishao utakuogopa.
Therefore, a strong people will honor You. The cities of ruthless nations will revere You.

Maana umekuwa ngome ya maskini, Ngome ya mhitaji katika dhiki yake, Mahali pa kukimbilia wakati wa tufani, Kivuli wakati wa hari; Wakati uvumapo upepo wa watu watishao, Kama dhoruba ipigayo ukuta.
For You have been a refuge for the poor, a stronghold for the needy in distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat. For the breath of the ruthless is like rain against a wall,

like heat in a dry land. You subdue the uproar of foreigners. As the shade of a cloud cools the heat, so the song of the ruthless is silenced.

Na katika mlima huu Bwana wa majeshi atawafanyia mataifa yote karamu ya vitu vinono, karamu ya divai iliyokaa juu ya urojorojo wake, karamu ya vinono vilivyojaa mafuta, karamu ya divai iliyokaa juu ya urojorojo wake, iliyochujwa sana.
On this mountain the LORD of Hosts will prepare a lavish banquet for all the peoples, a feast of aged wine, of choice meat, of finely aged wine.

Naye katika mlima huu atauharibu uso wa sitara iliyowekwa juu ya watu wote, na utaji ule uliotandwa juu ya mataifa yote.
On this mountain He will swallow up the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations;

Amemeza mauti hata milele; na Bwana MUNGU atafuta machozi katika nyuso zote; na aibu ya watu wake ataiondoa katika ulimwengu wote; maana Bwana amenena hayo.
He will swallow up death forever. The Lord GOD will wipe away the tears from every face and remove the disgrace of His people from the whole earth. For the LORD has spoken.

Katika siku hiyo watasema, Tazama, huyu ndiye Mungu wetu, Ndiye tuliyemngoja atusaidie; Huyu ndiye Bwana tuliyemngoja, Na tushangilie na kuufurahia wokovu wake.
And in that day it will be said, “Surely this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the LORD for whom we have waited. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”

Kwa maana mkono wa Bwana utatulia katika mlima huu, na Moabu atakanyagwa chini huko aliko, kama vile majani makavu yakanyagwavyo katika maji ya jaa.
For the hand of the LORD will rest on this mountain. But Moab will be trampled in his place as straw is trodden into the dung pile.

Naye atanyosha mikono yake katikati yake, kama vile aogeleaye anyoshavyo mikono yake ili aogelee, naye atashusha kiburi chake, pamoja na hila za mikono yake.
He will spread out his hands within it, as a swimmer spreads his arms to swim. His pride will be brought low, despite the skill of his hands.

Na boma la ngome ya kuta zako ameliinamisha, na kulilaza chini, na kulitupa chini hata mavumbini.
The high-walled fortress will be brought down, cast to the ground, into the dust.
