Wakati huo Merodaki-baladani, mwana wa Baladani, mfalme wa Babeli, alipeleka barua na zawadi kwa Hezekia; kwa maana amepata habari kwamba amekuwa hawezi, na kwamba amepona. Isaya 39:1	At that time Merodach Baladan the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah; for he heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
Hezekia akawafurahia, akawaonyesha nyumba yake yenye vitu vyake vya thamani, fedha na dhahabu, na manukato, na marhamu ya thamani, na nyumba yote yenye silaha zake za vita, na vitu vyote vilivyoonekana katika hazina zake; hapakuwa na kitu nyumbani mwake wala katika ufalme wake asichowaonyesha. Isaya 39:2	Hezekiah was glad of them, and shown them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious oil, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn't show them.
Ndipo Isaya nabii akamwendea mfalme Hezekia, akamwambia, Watu hawa walisema nini? Nao wametoka wapi kuja kwako? Hezekia akasema, Wametoka katika nchi iliyo mbali, wakaja kwangu toka Babeli. Isaya 39:3	Then came Isaiah the prophet to king Hezekiah, and said to him, What said these men? and from whence came they to you? Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country to me, even from Babylon.
Ndipo akasema, Wameona nini katika nyumba yako? Hezekia akajibu, Wameviona vitu vyote vilivyomo nyumbani mwangu; hapana kitu katika hazina zangu nisichowaonyesha. Isaya 39:4	Then said he, What have they seen in your house? Hezekiah answered, All that is in my house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shown them.
Ndipo Isaya akamwambia Hezekia, Basi, lisikie neno la Bwana wa majeshi. Isaya 39:5	Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of Yahweh of Hosts:
Tazama, siku zinakuja, ambazo vitu vyote vilivyomo nyumbani mwako, na hivyo vilivyowekwa akiba na baba zako hata leo, vitachukuliwa mpaka Babeli; hapana kitu cho chote kitakachosalia; asema Bwana. Isaya 39:6	Behold, the days are coming, when all that is in your house, and that which your fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, says Yahweh.
Na baadhi ya wana wako utakaowazaa, watakaotoka kwako, watawachukulia mbali; nao watakuwa matowashi katika jumba la mfalme wa Babeli. Isaya 39:7	Of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you shall father, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
Ndipo Hezekia akamwambia Isaya, Neno la Bwana ulilolinena ni jema. Tena akamwambia, Maana itakuwapo amani na kweli katika siku zangu mimi. Isaya 39:8	Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of Yahweh which you have spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days.
