Moyo wangu hunitetema kwayo pia, Nao hutoka mahali pake.
“At this my heart also pounds and leaps from its place.

Zisikizeni hizo kelele za sauti yake, Na uvumi utokao kinywani mwake.
Listen closely to the thunder of His voice and the rumbling that comes from His mouth.

Yeye huituma iende chini ya mbingu zote, Na radi yake hata miisho ya nchi.
He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole sky and sends it to the ends of the earth.
4
Baadaye sauti hunguruma; Yeye hunguruma kwa sauti ya ukuu wake; Hazizuii hapo sauti yake isikiwapo.
Then there comes a roaring sound; He thunders with His majestic voice. He does not restrain the lightning when His voice resounds.

Mungu hunguruma kwa kustaajabisha kwa sauti yake; Hufanya mambo makuu, ambayo hatuwezi kuelewa nayo.
God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things we cannot comprehend.

Kwani huiambia theluji, Anguka juu ya nchi; Na vivyo manyonyota ya mvua, Na hayo maji ya mvua yake kubwa.
For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the gentle rain, ‘Pour out a mighty downpour.’

Huufunga mkono wa kila binadamu; Ili watu wote aliowaumba wajue.
He seals up the hand of every man, so that all men may know His work.

Hapo wanyama huingia mafichoni, Na kukaa katika mapango yao.
The wild animals enter their lairs; they settle down in their dens.
9
Dhoruba hutoka katika vyumba vyake; Na baridi ghalani mwake.
The tempest comes from its chamber, and the cold from the driving north winds.
10
Barafu huletwa kwa pumzi za Mungu; Na upana wa maji huganda.
By the breath of God the ice is formed and the watery expanses are frozen.
11
Naam, huyatweka mawingu mazito mzigo wa maji; Hulitandika wingu la umeme wake;
He loads the clouds with moisture; He scatters His lightning through them.
12
Nalo hugeuzwa huku na huku kwa uongozi wake, Ili yafanye yote atakayoyaagiza Juu ya uso wa dunia hii ikaayo watu;
They swirl about, whirling at His direction, accomplishing all that He commands over the face of all the earth.

Kama ni kwa kuonya, au kama ni kwa nchi yake, Au kama ni kwa rehema, ndiye aletaye.
Whether for punishment or for His land, He accomplishes this in His loving devotion.

Sikiliza neno hili, Ee Ayubu; Simama kimya, uzifikiri kazi za Mungu za ajabu.
Listen to this, O Job; stand still and consider the wonders of God.

Je! Wajua wewe jinsi Mungu anavyoziagiza, Na kuumulikisha umeme wa wingu lake?
Do you know how God dispatches the clouds or makes the lightning flash?

Je! Wajua jinsi mawingu yalivyowekwa sawasawa, Hizo kazi za ajabu za huyo mkamilifu wa maarifa?
Do you understand how the clouds float, those wonders of Him who is perfect in knowledge?

Jinsi nguo zako zilivyo na moto, Hapo nchi ituliapo kwa sababu ya upepo wa kusini?
You whose clothes get hot when the land lies hushed under the south wind,

Je! Waweza kuzitandaza mbingu pamoja naye, Ambazo zina nguvu kama kioo cha kuyeyushwa?
can you, like Him, spread out the skies, as strong as a mirror of bronze?
19
Utufundishe ni maneno gani tutakayomwambia; Kwa maana hamwezi kuyatengeza kwa sababu ya giza.
Teach us what we should say to Him; we cannot draw up our case because of our darkness.
20
Je! Aambiwe kwamba nataka kunena? Au mtu angetamani kumezwa?
Should He be told that I want to speak? Would a man ask to be swallowed up?
21
Na sasa watu hawawezi kuutazama mwanga ung'aao mbinguni; Lakini upepo ukipita huzitakasa.
Now no one can gaze at the sun when it is bright in the skies after the wind has swept them clean.
22
Kaskazini hutokea umemetufu wa dhahabu; Mungu huvikwa ukuu utishao.
Out of the north He comes in golden splendor; awesome majesty surrounds Him.
23
yeye Mwenyezi hamwezi kumwona; Yeye ni mkuu mwenye uweza; Tena mwenye hukumu, na mwingi wa haki, hataonea.
The Almighty is beyond our reach; He is exalted in power! In His justice and great righteousness He does not oppress.
24
Kwa hiyo watu humwogopa; Yeye hawaangalii walio na hekima mioyoni.
Therefore, men fear Him, for He is not partial to the wise in heart.”
