Basi hao watu watatu wakaacha kumjibu Ayubu, kwa sababu alikuwa mwenye haki machoni pake mwenyewe.
So these three men stopped answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.

Ndipo zikawaka hasira za huyo Elihu mwana wa Barakeli, Mbuzi, katika jamaa ya Ramu, juu ya Ayubu, kwa sababu alikuwa amejipa haki mwenyewe zaidi ya Mungu.
This kindled the anger of Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram. He burned with anger against Job for justifying himself rather than God,

Tena hasira zake ziliwaka juu ya hao rafiki zake watatu kwa sababu hawakupata jawabu, lakini wamemhukumia Ayubu makosa.
and he burned with anger against Job’s three friends because they had failed to refute Job, and yet had condemned him.

Basi huyo Elihu alikuwa anangoja ili anene na Ayubu, kwa sababu hao wengine walikuwa wazee kuliko yeye.
Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because the others were older than he.

Hata Elihu alipoona kuwa hapana jawabu katika vinywa vya watu hao watatu, hasira zake ziliwaka.
But when he saw that the three men had no further reply, his anger was kindled.

Basi Elihu mwana wa Barakeli, Mbuzi, akajibu, na kusema, Mimi ni kijana, na ninyi ni wazee sana; Kwa hiyo nilijizuia, nisithubutu kuwaonyesha nionavyo.
So Elihu son of Barachel the Buzite declared: “I am young in years, while you are old; that is why I was timid and afraid to tell you what I know.

Nilisema, Yafaa siku ziseme, Na wingi wa miaka ufundishe hekima.
I thought that age should speak, and many years should teach wisdom.

Lakini imo roho ndani ya mwanadamu, Na pumzi za Mwenyezi huwapa akili.
But there is a spirit in a man, the breath of the Almighty, that gives him understanding.
9
Sio wakuu walio wenye akili, Wala sio wazee watambuao hukumu.
It is not only the old who are wise, or the elderly who understand justice.
10
Basi nilisema, Nisikilizeni mimi; Mimi nami nitawaonyesha nionavyo.
Therefore I say, ‘Listen to me; I too will declare what I know.’

Tazama, niliyangojea maneno yenu, Nilizisikiliza nisikie hoja zenu, Hapo mlipokitafuta mtakalonena.
Indeed, I waited while you spoke; I listened to your reasoning; as you searched for words,

Naam, niliwasikiza ninyi, Na tazama, hapana mmoja aliyemshinda Ayubu, Wala kumjibu maneno yake, kati yenu.
I paid you full attention. But no one proved Job wrong; not one of you rebutted his arguments.

Jitunzeni msiseme, Sisi tumepata hekima; Mungu yumkini akamshinda, si mtu;
So do not claim, ‘We have found wisdom; let God, not man, refute him.’
14
Kwa kuwa yeye hajayaelekeza maneno yake kwangu; Wala sitamjibu mimi kwa maneno yenu.
But Job has not directed his words against me, and I will not answer him with your arguments.
15
Wameshangaa, hawajibu tena; Hawana neno la kusema.
Job’s friends are dismayed, with no more to say; words have escaped them.
16
Na mimi, je! Ningoje, kwa sababu hawaneni, Kwa sababu wasimama kimya, wala wasijibu tena;
Must I wait, now that they are silent, now that they stand and no longer reply?
17
Mimi nami nitajibu sehemu yangu, Mimi nami nitaonyesha nionavyo.
I too will answer; yes, I will declare what I know.
18
Kwa kuwa nimejaa maneno; Roho iliyo ndani yangu hunihimiza.
For I am full of words, and my spirit within me compels me.
19
Tazama, tumbo langu ni kama divai iliyozibwa; Kama viriba vipya li karibu na kupasuka.
Behold, my belly is like unvented wine; it is about to burst like a new wineskin.
20
Nitanena, ili nipate kutulia; Nitafunua midomo yangu na kujibu.
I must speak and find relief; I must open my lips and respond.
21
Tafadhali, nisiupendelee uso wa mtu; Wala sitajipendekeza kwa mtu ye yote.
I will be partial to no one, nor will I flatter any man.
22
Kwani mimi sijui kujipendekeza; Au Muumba wangu angeniondoa kwa upesi.
For I do not know how to flatter, or my Maker would remove me in an instant.
