Ndipo Sofari Mnaamathi akajibu, na kusema, Ayabu 11:1 |
Then Zophar, the Naamathite, answered, |
Je! Huu wingi wa maneno usijibiwe? Na mtu aliyejaa maneno, je! Ahesabiwe kuwa na haki? Ayabu 11:2 |
"Shouldn't the multitude of words be answered? Should a man full of talk be justified? |
Je! Majivuno yako yawanyamazishe watu wawe kimya? Nawe hapo ufanyapo dhihaka, je! Hapana mtu atakayekutahayarisha? Ayabu 11:3 |
Should your boastings make men hold their peace? When you mock, shall no man make you ashamed? |
Kwa kuwa wewe wasema, Mafunzo yangu ni safi, Nami ni safi machoni pako. Ayabu 11:4 |
For you say, 'My doctrine is pure, I am clean in your eyes.' |
Lakini, laiti Mungu angenena, Na kuifunua midomo yake juu yako; Ayabu 11:5 |
But oh that God would speak, And open his lips against you, |
Tena akuonyeshe hizo siri za hekima, Ya kuwa hufanikiwa katika kuyatimiza makusudi yake! Ujue basi ya kuwa Mungu akuachilia katika uovu wako. Ayabu 11:6 |
That he would show you the secrets of wisdom! For true wisdom has two sides. Know therefore that God exacts of you less than your iniquity deserves. |
Je! Wewe waweza kuuvumbua ukuu wa Mungu? Waweza kuufikilia upeo wa huyo Mwenyezi? Ayabu 11:7 |
"Can you fathom the mystery of God? Or can you probe the limits of the Almighty? |
Ni juu mno kama mbingu; waweza kufanya nini wewe? Ni wenye kina kuliko kuzimuni; waweza kujua nini wewe? Ayabu 11:8 |
They are high as heaven. What can you do? Deeper than Sheol: what can you know? |
Cheo chake ni kirefu kuliko dunia, Ni kipana zaidi ya bahari. Ayabu 11:9 |
The measure of it is longer than the earth, And broader than the sea. |
Yeye akipita, na kufunga watu, Na kuwaita hukumuni, ni nani basi awezaye kumzuia? Ayabu 11:10 |
If he passes by, or confines, Or convenes a court, then who can oppose him? |
Kwani yeye awajua watu baradhuli; Huona na uovu pia, hata asipoufikiri. Ayabu 11:11 |
For he knows false men. He sees iniquity also, even though he doesn't consider it. |
Lakini mpumbavu aweza kupata ufahamu, Ingawa mwanadamu huzaliwa kama mtoto wa punda-mwitu. Ayabu 11:12 |
But vain man can become wise If a man can be born as a wild donkey's colt. |
Wewe ukiuweka moyo wako kwa uelekevu, Na kumnyoshea mikono yako; Ayabu 11:13 |
"If you set your heart aright, Stretch out your hands toward him. |
Ikiwa una uovu mkononi mwako, uweke mbali nawe, Wala usikubali upuzi kukaa hemani mwako; Ayabu 11:14 |
If iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, Don't let unrighteousness dwell in your tents. |
Hakika ndipo utakapopata kuinua uso pasipo ila; Naam, utathibitika, wala hutakuwa na hofu; Ayabu 11:15 |
Surely then shall you lift up your face without spot; Yes, you shall be steadfast, and shall not fear: |
Kwa kuwa utasahau mashaka yako; Utayakumbuka kama maji yaliyokwisha pita; Ayabu 11:16 |
For you shall forget your misery; You shall remember it as waters that are passed away, |
Na maisha yako yatakuwa meupe kuliko adhuhuri; Lijapokuwa ni giza, litakuwa kama alfajiri. Ayabu 11:17 |
Life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there is darkness, it shall be as the morning. |
Nawe utakuwa salama, kwa sababu kuna matumaini; Naam, utatafuta-tafuta kando yako, na kupumzika katika salama. Ayabu 11:18 |
You shall be secure, because there is hope; Yes, you shall search, and shall take your rest in safety. |
Tena utalala, wala hapana atakayekutia hofu; Naam, wengi watakutafuta uso wako. Ayabu 11:19 |
Also you shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid; Yes, many shall court your favor. |
Lakini macho ya waovu yataingia kiwi, Nao hawatakuwa na njia ya kukimbilia, Na matumaini yao yatakuwa ni kutoa roho. Ayabu 11:20 |
But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, They shall have no way to flee; Their hope shall be the giving up of the spirit." |
