Then Zophar the Naamathite replied:

Kwa hiyo mawazo yangu hunipa jawabu, Kwa ajili ya haraka niliyo nayo ndani yangu.
“So my anxious thoughts compel me to answer, because of the turmoil within me.

Nimesikia maonyo yanayonitahayarisha, Nayo roho ya ufahamu wangu hunijibu.
I have heard a rebuke that insults me, and my understanding prompts a reply.

Je! Hujui neno hili tangu zamani za kale, Tangu wanadamu kuwekwa juu ya nchi,
Do you not know that from antiquity, since man was placed on the earth,

Ya kuwa shangwe ya waovu ni kwa muda kidogo, Na furaha ya wapotovu ni ya dakika moja tu?
the triumph of the wicked has been brief and the joy of the godless momentary?

Ujapopanda ukuu wake mpaka mbinguni, Na kichwa chake kufikilia mawinguni;
Though his arrogance reaches the heavens, and his head touches the clouds,
7
Hata hivyo ataangamia milele kama mavi yake mwenyewe; Hao waliomwona watasema, Yuko wapi?
he will perish forever, like his own dung; those who had seen him will ask, ‘Where is he?’
8
Ataruka mfano wa ndoto, asionekane; Naam, atafukuzwa kama maono ya usiku,
He will fly away like a dream, never to be found; he will be chased away like a vision in the night.
9
Jicho lililomwona halitamwona tena; Wala mahali pake hapatamtazama tena.
The eye that saw him will see him no more, and his place will no longer behold him.
10
Watoto wake watataka fadhili kwa maskini, Na mikono yake itarudisha mali yake.
His sons will seek the favor of the poor, for his own hands must return his wealth.
11
Mifupa yake imejaa ujana wake, Lakini utalala nchi naye mavumbini.
The youthful vigor that fills his bones will lie down with him in the dust.
12
Ingawa uovu una tamu kinywani mwake, Ingawa auficha chini ya ulimi wake;
Though evil is sweet in his mouth and he conceals it under his tongue,
13
Ingawa auhurumia, asikubali kuuacha uende zake. Lakini akaushika vivyo kinywani mwake;
though he cannot bear to let it go and keeps it in his mouth,
14
Hata hivyo chakula chake matumboni mwake kinabadilika, Kimekuwa ni nyongo za majoka ndani yake.
yet in his stomach his food sours into the venom of cobras within him.
15
Amemeza mali, naye atayatapika tena; Mungu atayatoa tumboni mwake.
He swallows wealth but vomits it out; God will force it from his stomach.
16
Ataamwa sumu ya majoka; Na ulimi wa fira utamwua.
He will suck the poison of cobras; the fangs of a viper will kill him.
17
Hataiangalia hiyo mito ya maji, Vile vijito vilivyojaa asali na siagi.
He will not enjoy the streams, the rivers flowing with honey and cream.
18
Aliyoyataabikia kazi atayarudisha, asiyameze; Kwa mali aliyoyapata, hatafurahi.
He must return the fruit of his labor without consuming it; he cannot enjoy the profits of his trading.
19
Kwa maana amewaonea na kuwaacha maskini; Amenyang'anya nyumba kwa jeuri, wala hataijenga.
For he has oppressed and forsaken the poor; he has seized houses he did not build.
20
Kwa sababu hakujua utulivu ndani yake, Hataponya cho chote katika hicho alichokifurahia.
Because his appetite is never satisfied, he cannot escape with his treasure.
21
Hakikusalia kitu asichokula; Kwa hiyo kufanikiwa kwake hakutadumu.
Nothing is left for him to consume; thus his prosperity will not endure.
22
Katika kujaa kwa wingi wake atakuwa katika dhiki; Mkono wa kila anayesumbuliwa utamjia.
In the midst of his plenty, he will be distressed; the full force of misery will come upon him.
23
Hapo atakapo kulijaza tumbo lake, Mungu atamtupia ukali wa ghadhabu zake, Na kuunyesha juu yake akiwa anakula.
When he has filled his stomach, God will vent His fury upon him, raining it down on him as he eats.
24
Ataikimbia silaha ya chuma, Na uta wa shaba utamchoma kwa pili.
Though he flees from an iron weapon, a bronze-tipped arrow will pierce him.
25
Yeye autoa, nao watoka mwilini mwake; Naam, ncha ing'aayo yatoka katika nyongo yake; Vitisho viko juu yake.
It is drawn out of his back, the gleaming point from his liver. Terrors come over him.

Giza lote linawekwa kwa ajili ya hazina zake; Moto ambao haukuvuviwa na mtu utamla; Utayateketeza yaliyosalia hemani mwake.
Total darkness is reserved for his treasures. A fire unfanned will consume him and devour what is left in his tent.
27
Mbingu zitafunua wazi uovu wake, Nayo nchi itainuka kinyume chake.
The heavens will expose his iniquity, and the earth will rise up against him.
28
Maongeo ya nyumba yake yataondoka, Yatamwagika mbali katika siku ya ghadhabu zake.
The possessions of his house will be removed, flowing away on the day of God’s wrath.
29
Hii ndiyo sehemu ya mtu mwovu itokayo kwa Mungu, Na urithi aliowekewa na Mungu.
This is the wicked man’s portion from God, the inheritance God has appointed him.”
