Dr. Ipyana, born Ipyana Peter Kibona, is a Tanzanian gospel minister, songwriter, and worship leader who also practices as a medical doctor. He grew up in a musical family, an early influence that shaped his call to devotional Christian music.
He is best known for founding the ministry “GRAND IBADA,” which centers on worship and teaching. His music is characterized by devotional themes and live worship recordings, and he has released songs such as “Niseme Nini” (2022), “Kama Si Mkono Wako,” “Nawezaje Kunyamaza (Live),” “Umeketi,” and “Ubhaghile.” More recent releases include “Messiah,” “Mfalme Wa Utukufu,” and “Nimejikuta Ng’ambo,” all from 2025.
