Neno hili ndilo ambalo Yeremia, nabii, alimwambia Baruku, mwana wa Neria, alipoyaandika maneno haya katika kitabu kwa kinywa cha Yeremia, mwaka wa nne wa Yehoyakimu, mwana wa Yosia, mfalme wa Yuda, kusema, Yeremia 45:1

 The word that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these word in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying,

Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, akuambia wewe Ee Baruku; Yeremia 45:2

 Thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to you, Baruch:

Ulisema, Ole wangu! Kwa maana Bwana ameongeza huzuni pamoja na maumivu yangu. Nimechoka kwa ajili ya kuugua kwangu, wala sioni raha. Yeremia 45:3

 You did say, Woe is me now! for Yahweh has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.

Basi, mwambie hivi, Bwana asema hivi, Tazama, niliyoyajenga nitayabomoa, na niliyoyapanda nitayang'oa; na haya yatakuwa katika nchi yote. Yeremia 45:4

 Thus shall you tell him, Thus says Yahweh: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

Je! Unajitafutia mambo makuu? Usiyatafute; kwa maana tazama, nitaleta mabaya juu ya wote wenye mwili, asema Bwana; lakini roho yako nitakupa iwe nyara, katika mahali pote utakapokwenda. Yeremia 45:5

 Seek you great things for yourself? Don't seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh, says Yahweh; but your life will I give to you for a prey in all places where you go.
