1
Bwana akamwambia Musa, Sasa utaona nitakavyomtenda Farao; maana kwa mkono hodari atawapa ruhusa kwenda zao, na kwa mkono hodari atawafukuza katika nchi yake.
But the LORD said to Moses, “Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh, for because of My mighty hand he will let the people go; because of My strong hand he will drive them out of his land.”

Kisha Mungu akasema na Musa, akamwambia, Mimi ni YEHOVA;
God also told Moses, “I am the LORD.

nami nilimtokea Ibrahimu, na Isaka, na Yakobo, kama Mungu Mwenyezi, bali kwa jina langu YEHOVA sikujulikana kwao.
I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as God Almighty, but by My name the LORD I did not make Myself known to them.

Tena nimelithibitisha agano langu nao, la kuwapa nchi ya Kanaani; nchi ya kukaa kwao hali ya ugeni.
I also established My covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the land where they lived as foreigners.

Na zaidi ya hayo, nimesikia kuugua kwao wana wa Israeli, ambao Wamisri wanawatumikisha, nami nimelikumbuka agano langu.
Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered My covenant.

Basi waambie wana wa Israeli, Mimi ni YEHOVA, nami nitawatoa ninyi mtoke chini ya mizigo ya Wamisri, nami nitawaokoa na utumwa wao, nami nitawakomboa kwa mkono ulionyoshwa, na kwa hukumu kubwa;
Therefore tell the Israelites: ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians and deliver you from their bondage. I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment.

nami nitawatwaeni kuwa watu wangu, nitakuwa Mungu kwenu; nanyi mtajua ya kuwa mimi ni YEHOVA, Mungu wenu, niwatoaye mtoke chini ya mizigo ya Wamisri.
I will take you as My own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians.

Nami nitawaleta hata nchi ile ambayo naliinua mkono wangu, niwape Ibrahimu, na Isaka, na Yakobo; nitawapa iwe urithi wenu; Mimi ni YEHOVA.
And I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the LORD!’”

Musa akawaambia wana wa Israeli maneno haya; lakini hawakumsikiliza Musa kwa ajili ya uchungu wa moyo, na kwa ajili ya utumwa mgumu.
Moses relayed this message to the Israelites, but on account of their broken spirit and cruel bondage, they did not listen to him.

Bwana akasema na Musa, akamwambia,
So the LORD said to Moses,

Ingia ndani, ukaseme na Farao, mfalme wa Misri, ili awape ruhusa wana wa Israeli watoke nchi yake.
“Go and tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his land.”

Musa akanena mbele ya Bwana, akasema, Tazama, hao wana wa Israeli hawakunisikiza mimi; basi huyo Farao atanisikizaje, mimi niliye na midomo isiyo tohara?
But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “If the Israelites will not listen to me, then why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I am unskilled in speech?”

Bwana akanena na Musa na Haruni, akawaagiza wawaendee wana wa Israeli, na Farao, mfalme wa Misri, ili awatoe hao wana wa Israeli katika nchi ya Misri.
Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron and gave them a charge concerning both the Israelites and Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt.

Hawa ndio vichwa vya nyumba za baba zao: wana wa Reubeni, mzaliwa wa kwanza wa Israeli; ni Hanoki, na Palu, na Hesroni, na Karmi; hao ni jamaa za Reubeni.
These were the heads of their fathers’ houses: The sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, were Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These were the clans of Reuben.

Na wana wa Simeoni; ni Yemueli, na Yamini, na Ohadi, na Yakini, na Sohari, na Shauli mwana wa mwanamke wa Kikanaani; hao ni jamaa za Simeoni.
The sons of Simeon were Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul, the son of a Canaanite woman. These were the clans of Simeon.

Na haya ndiyo majina ya wana wa Lawi, sawasawa na vizazi vyao; Gershoni, na Kohathi, na Merari; na miaka ya maisha yake Lawi ilikuwa ni miaka mia na thelathini na saba.
These were the names of the sons of Levi according to their records: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari. Levi lived 137 years.

Wana wa Gershoni; ni Libni, na Shimei, sawasawa na jamaa zao.
The sons of Gershon were Libni and Shimei, by their clans.
18
Na wana wa Kohathi; ni Amramu, na Ishari, na Hebroni, na Uzieli; na miaka ya maisha ya huyo Kohathi ilikuwa ni miaka mia na thelathini na mitatu.
The sons of Kohath were Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. Kohath lived 133 years.

Na wana wa Merari; ni Mali, na Mushi. Hizi ni jamaa za hao Walawi sawasawa na vizazi vyao.
The sons of Merari were Mahli and Mushi. These were the clans of the Levites according to their records.
20
Huyo Amramu akamwoa Yokebedi ndugu ya baba yake; naye akamzalia Haruni, na Musa; na miaka ya maisha yake Amramu ilikuwa ni miaka mia na thelathini na saba.
And Amram married his father’s sister Jochebed, and she bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived 137 years.

Na wana wa Ishari; ni Kora, na Nefegi, na Zikri.
The sons of Izhar were Korah, Nepheg, and Zichri.
22
Na wana wa Uzieli; ni Mishaeli, na Elisafani, na Sithri.
The sons of Uzziel were Mishael, Elzaphan, and Sithri.
23
Haruni akamwoa Elisheba, binti ya Aminadabu, umbu lake Nashoni; naye akamzalia Nadabu, na Abihu, na Eleazari, na Ithamari.
And Aaron married Elisheba, the daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.

Na wana wa Kora; ni Asiri, na Elkana, na Abiasafu; hizo ni jamaa za hao Wakora.
The sons of Korah were Assir, Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These were the clans of the Korahites.
25
Na Eleazari mwana wa Haruni akamwoa mmoja miongoni mwa binti za Putieli; naye akamzalia Finehasi. Hawa ndio vichwa vya nyumba za mababa ya Walawi sawasawa na jamaa zao.
Aaron’s son Eleazar married one of the daughters of Putiel, and she bore him Phinehas. These were the heads of the Levite families by their clans.

Hawa ni Haruni ye yule, na Musa ye yule, Bwana aliowaambia, akisema, Watoeni wana wa Israeli watoke nchi ya Misri sawasawa na majeshi yao.
It was this Aaron and Moses to whom the LORD said, “Bring the Israelites out of the land of Egypt by their divisions.”

Ni hao walionena na Farao mfalme wa Misri ili wawatoe wana wa Israeli watoke Misri; hao ni Musa ye yule, na Haruni ye yule.
Moses and Aaron were the ones who spoke to Pharaoh king of Egypt in order to bring the Israelites out of Egypt.

Ilikuwa siku hiyo Bwana aliponena na Musa katika nchi ya Misri,
Now on the day that the LORD spoke to Moses in Egypt,

Bwana akamwambia Musa, akasema, Mimi ni Bwana; mwambie Farao mfalme wa Misri maneno yote nikuambiayo.
He said to him, “I am the LORD; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything I say to you.”
30
Musa akanena mbele ya Bwana, Mimi ni mtu mwenye midomo isiyo tohara, Farao atanisikizaje?
But in the LORD’s presence Moses replied, “Since I am unskilled in speech, why would Pharaoh listen to me?”
