Kumbukumbu la Torati 24 (Swahili) Deuteronomy 24 (English)

Mtu akiisha kutwaa mke kwa kumwoa, asipopata kibali machoni mwake, kwa kuwa ameona neno ovu kwake, na amwandikie hati ya kumwacha, akamtilie mkononi mwake, na kumtoa katika nyumba yake. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:1

When a man takes a wife, and marries her, then it shall be, if she find no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he shall write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.

Naye akiisha kuondoka katika nyumba yake, ana ruhusa kwenda akawa mke wa mtu mwingine. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:2

When she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's [wife].

Na huyo mumewe wa sasa akimchukia, na kumwandikia hati ya kumwacha, na kumpa mkononi mwake, na kumtoa katika nyumba yake; au akifa yeye mumewe wa sasa, aliyemtwaa kuwa mkewe; Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:3

If the latter husband hate her, and write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house; or if the latter husband die, who took her to be his wife;

yule wa kwanza aliyemwacha asimtwae kuwa mkewe tena, akiisha kutiwa unajisi; kwa kuwa haya ni machukizo mbele za Bwana; kwa hiyo usiitie dhambini nchi, akupayo Bwana, Mungu wako, iwe urithi. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:4

her former husband, who sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before Yahweh: and you shall not cause the land to sin, which Yahweh your God gives you for an inheritance.

Mtu atwaapo mke mpya, asiende vitani pamoja na jeshi, wala asipewe shughuli juu yake yo yote; akae faragha mwaka mmoja nyumbani mwake, apate mfurahisha mkewe aliyemtwaa. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:5

When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out in the host, neither shall he be charged with any business: he shall be free at home one year, and shall cheer his wife whom he has taken.

Mtu awaye yote asitwae jiwe la kusagia, la juu wala la chini, kuwa rehani; kwani hivi ni kutwaa maisha ya mtu kuwa rehani. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:6

No man shall take the mill or the upper millstone to pledge; for he takes [a man's] life to pledge.

Mtu akionekana anamwiba nduguze mmojawapo katika wana wa Israeli, akamfanya kama mtumwa, au kumwuza; na afe mwivi huyo; ndivyo utakavyoondoa uovu katikati yako. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:7

If a man be found stealing any of his brothers of the children of Israel, and he deal with him as a slave, or sell him; then that thief shall die: so shall you put away the evil from the midst of you.

Angalia katika pigo la ukoma, utunze kwa bidii, kwa kufanya mfano wa yote watakayowafundisha makuhani Walawi; tunzeni kwa kuyafanya vile vile kama nilivyowaamuru wao. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:8

Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that you observe diligently, and do according to all that the priests the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so you shall observe to do.

Kumbukeni na Bwana, Mungu wako alivyomtenda Miriamu katika njia mlipotoka Misri. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:9

Remember what Yahweh your God did to Miriam, by the way as you came forth out of Egypt.

Umkopeshapo jirani yako cho chote kikopeshwacho usiingie katika nyumba yake kwenda kutwaa rehani kwake. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:10

When you do lend your neighbor any manner of loan, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.

Simama nje, yule umkopeshaye akuletee nje ile rehani. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:11

You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you do lend shall bring forth the pledge outside to you.

Naye akiwa ni mtu maskini, usilale na rehani yake. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:12

If he be a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge;

Sharti umrudishie rehani lichwapo jua, apate kulala na mavazi yake, na kukubarikia; nayo itakuwa ni haki kwako mbele za Bwana, Mungu wako. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:13

you shall surely restore to him the pledge when the sun goes down, that he may sleep in his garment, and bless you: and it shall be righteousness to you before Yahweh your God.

Usimwonee mtumishi mwenye ujira aliye maskini na uhitaji, kama ni wa nduguzo, au kama ni wageni wako mmojawapo walio katika nchi yako, ndani ya malango yako; Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:14

You shall not oppress a hired servant who is poor and needy, whether he be of your brothers, or of your foreigners who are in your land within your gates:

mpe ujira wake kwa siku yake, wala jua lisichwe juu yake; kwa maana ni maskini, moyo wake umeutumainia huo; asije akamlilia Bwana juu yako, ikawa ni dhambi kwako. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:15

in his day you shall give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down on it; for he is poor, and sets his heart on it: lest he cry against you to Yahweh, and it be sin to you.

Mababa wasiuawe kwa ajili ya watoto wao, wala watoto wasiuawe kwa ajili ya baba zao; kila mtu na auawe kwa ajili ya dhambi yake mwenyewe. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:16

The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.

Usipotoshe hukumu ya mgeni, wala ya yatima; wala usitwae mavazi ya mjane, yawe rehani; Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:17

You shall not wrest the justice [due] to the foreigner, [or] to the fatherless, nor take the widow's clothing to pledge;

bali kumbuka ya kuwa ulikuwa mtumwa katika Misri, Bwana, Mungu wako, akakukomboa huko; kwa hiyo nakuamuru kutenda neno hili. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:18

but you shall remember that you were a bondservant in Egypt, and Yahweh your God redeemed you there: therefore I command you to do this thing.

Uvunapo mavuno yako katika shamba lako, ukasahau mganda shambani, usirudi kuuchukua; na uwe wa mgeni, au yatima, au mjane; ili Bwana, Mungu wako, akubariki katika kazi yote ya mikono yako. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:19

When you reap your harvest in your field, and have forgot a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to get it: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow; that Yahweh your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

Utakapochuma matunda ya mizeituni yako, usirudi kuchuma mara ya pili; yaliyobaki apewe mgeni, na yatima, na mjane. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:20

When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

Uchumapo zabibu katika shamba lako la mizabibu, usichume mara ya pili; zilizobaki apewe mgeni, na yatima, na mjane. Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:21

When you gather [the grapes of] your vineyard, you shall not glean it after you: it shall be for the foreigner, for the fatherless, and for the widow.

Nawe kumbuka ya kuwa ulikuwa mtumwa katika nchi ya Misri; kwa hiyo nakuamuru kutenda neno hili.

Kumbukumbu la Torati 24:22

You shall remember that you were a bondservant in the land of Egypt: therefore I command you to do this thing.
