Lyrics
Verse 1
Sitaki kuwa wa hivi hivi mimi
Kuipenda dunia nikaikosa mbingu
Kuwa vumbi la jibu kwa watakatifu
Litakalo kanyagwa na washindi wa dhambi
Verse 2
Duniani mbingu tuwe wote
Mbali ulikonitoa usiniache
Ikiwa umeniheshimisha hapa chini
Yesu akija ruhusu niende na yeye
Verse 3
Ninafurahi kuona vile unanijali
Nikiwa mdogo mkubwa uko na mimi
Kwenye vikwazo vitisho umekuwa na mimi
Mchana usiku bega kwa bega uko na mimi
Chorus
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba
Baba tangu ni mdogo mdogo
Umekuwa nami siku zote
(Umenibariki na vingi ukanisamehe mengi)
Baba ukinibariki nikumbushe nisikusahau
(Nia yangu unimiliki Baba)
Baba unapo mpango pale Yerusalemu
(Jana leo hata kesho)
unikumbuke niwe pale
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba
Siku zote
Verse 4
Lutu alikata kubaki hivyo hivyo
Kakataa kupenda uovu wa Sodoma
Katikati ya mji wa uovu wa dhambi
Kwa uaminifu akamuakilisha Mungu
Verse 5
Naomba nami niwe mtumwa mwaminifu
Niwakilishe vyema jina la Yesu
Hata kama dunia ikithiri uovu
Ruhusu nisimame nikutetee
Verse 6
Na siku ile mwokozi wangu atakaporudi
Aseme vyema wewe ni mtumishi mwema
Kisha nipae nipae mawinguni na Yesu
Kuanzisha familia mpya na Mungu
Chorus
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba
Baba tangu ni mdogo mdogo
Umekuwa nami siku zote
(Umenibariki na vingi ukanisamehe mengi)
Baba ukinibariki nikumbushe nisikusahau
(Nia yangu unimiliki Baba)
Baba unapo mpango pale Yerusalemu
(Jana leo hata kesho)
unikumbuke niwe pale
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba
(Usiniache Mungu wangu) Baba

Meaning & Inspiration
Zabron Singers present "Usiniache", a Swahili prayer whose title means "Do not leave me." The song is addressed to God as Father and asks Him to stay close from childhood to old age, through threats, obstacles, day and night. The singer admits that loving the world would cost him heaven, and asks not to become dust trampled by those who have overcome sin.
The middle verses hold up Lot as a pattern. He refused to settle into the wickedness of Sodom and kept representing God in the middle of an evil city. The singer prays for the same faithfulness: to stand and speak well of the name of Jesus even when evil increases around him.
The last verse looks ahead to the day the Saviour returns, hoping to hear "good and faithful servant" and to be taken up to Jesus to begin a new family with God. The chorus returns to the plea "Usiniache Mungu wangu" with call-and-response lines, which makes it natural for choirs and congregations to sing together. The lyric page keeps the verses and the repeated chorus in the recorded order.
