Wana wa Israeli wakafanya tena yaliyo mabaya mbele za macho ya Bwana, Bwana akawatia katika mikono ya Wafilisti, muda wa miaka arobaini.
The children of Israel again did that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh; and Yahweh delivered them into the hand of the Philistines forty years.
Palikuwa na mtu mmoja wa Sora, wa jamaa ya Wadani; jina lake akiitwa Manoa; na mkewe alikuwa tasa, hakuzaa watoto.
There was a certain man of Zorah, of the family of the Danites, whose name was Manoah; and his wife was barren, and didn't bear.
Malaika wa Bwana akamtokea yule mwanamke, akamwambia, Tazama, wewe sasa u tasa, huzai; lakini utachukua mimba, nawe utamzaa mtoto mwanamume.
The angel of Yahweh appeared to the woman, and said to her, See now, you are barren, and don't bear; but you shall conceive, and bear a son.
Basi sasa, jihadhari, nakuomba, usinywe divai wala kileo, wala usile kitu kilicho najisi;
Now therefore please beware and drink no wine nor strong drink, and don't eat any unclean thing:
kwani tazama, utachukua mimba, nawe utamzaa mtoto mwanamume; na wembe usipite juu ya kichwa chake; maana mtoto huyo atakuwa mnadhiri wa Mungu tangu tumboni; naye ataanza kuwaokoa Israeli na mikono ya Wafilisti.
for, behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head; for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb: and he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.
Ndipo yule mwanamke akaenda akamwambia mume wake, akisema, Mtu wa Mungu alinijia, na uso wake ulikuwa kama uso wa malaika wa Mungu, wa kutisha sana; nami sikumwuliza, Umetoka wapi? Wala hakuniambia jina lake;
Then the woman came and told her husband, saying, A man of God came to me, and his face was like the face of the angel of God, very awesome; and I didn't ask him whence he was, neither did he tell me his name:
lakini aliniambia, Tazama, utachukua mimba, nawe utamzaa mtoto mwanamume; basi sasa, usinywe divai wala kileo, wala usile kitu kilicho najisi. Maana mtoto huyo atakuwa Mnadhiri wa Mungu tangu tumboni, hata siku ya kufa kwake.
but he said to me, Behold, you shall conceive, and bear a son; and now drink no wine nor strong drink, and eat not any unclean thing; for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb to the day of his death.
Ndipo huyo Manoa akamwomba Bwana, akisema, Ee Bwana, nakuomba, yule mtu wa Mungu uliyemtuma na aje kwetu mara ya pili, atufundishe hayo yatupasayo kumfanyia huyo mtoto atakayezaliwa.
Then Manoah entreated Yahweh, and said, Oh, Lord, please let the man of God whom you did send come again to us, and teach us what we shall do to the child who shall be born.
Mungu akasikiza sauti ya Manoa; naye malaika wa Mungu akamwendea yule mwanamke tena alipokuwa anaketi shambani; lakini mumewe, Manoa, hakuwapo pamoja naye.
God listened to the voice of Manoah; and the angel of God came again to the woman as she sat in the field: but Manoah, her husband, wasn't with her.
Basi huyo mwanamke akaenda haraka, akapiga mbio, na kumwambia mumewe, akisema, Tazama, huyo mtu amenitokea, huyo aliyenijilia siku ile.
The woman made haste, and ran, and told her husband, and said to him, Behold, the man has appeared to me, who came to me the [other] day.
Basi Manoa akainuka, akamwandama mkewe, na kumfikilia mtu huyo, akamwuliza, Je! Wewe ndiwe mtu yule aliyenena na huyu mwanamke? Akasema, Naam, ni mimi.
Manoah arose, and went after his wife, and came to the man, and said to him, Are you the man who spoke to the woman? He said, I am.
Manoa akasema, Basi sasa hayo maneno yako yatakapotimia, je! Huyo mtoto atakuwa wa namna gani, na kazi yake itakuwa ni nini?
Manoah said, Now let your words happen: what shall be the ordering of the child, and [how] shall we do to him?
Malaika wa Mungu akamwambia Manoa, Katika hayo yote niliyomwambia huyo mwanamke na ajihadhari.
The angel of Yahweh said to Manoah, Of all that I said to the woman let her beware.
Asile kitu cho chote kitokacho katika mzabibu, wala asinywe divai, wala mvinyo, wala asile kitu cho chote kilicho najisi; hayo yote niliyomwamuru na ayatunze.
She may not eat of anything that comes of the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, nor eat any unclean thing; all that I commanded her let her observe.
Kisha Manoa akamwambia huyo malaika wa Bwana, Nakuomba, tukuzuie, ili tupate kuandaa mwana-mbuzi kwa ajili yako.
Manoah said to the angel of Yahweh, I pray you, let us detain you, that we may make ready a kid for you.
Lakini malaika wa Bwana akamwambia Manoa, Ujapokuwa wanizuia, sitakula katika mkate wako; na kwamba wataka kufanya tayari sadaka ya kuteketezwa, inakupasa kumsongezea Bwana. Kwa kuwa Manoa hakujua ya kwamba yeye ni malaika wa Bwana.
The angel of Yahweh said to Manoah, Though you detain me, I won't eat of your bread; and if you will make ready a burnt offering, you must offer it to Yahweh. For Manoah didn't know that he was the angel of Yahweh.
Manoa akamwambia huyo malaika wa Bwana, Jina lako ni nani, ili kwamba hapo hayo maneno yako yatakapotimia nipate kukutukuza?
Manoah said to the angel of Yahweh, What is your name, that when your words happen, we may honor you?
Huyo malaika wa Bwana akamwambia, Kwani wewe kuniuliza jina langu, kwa kuwa jina hilo ni la ajabu?
The angel of Yahweh said to him, Why do you ask after my name, seeing it is wonderful?
Basi Manoa akamtwaa yule mwana-mbuzi, pamoja na sadaka ya unga, akamtolea Bwana hapo juu ya mwamba; huyo malaika akatenda la ajabu; Manoa na mkewe wakaangalia.
So Manoah took the kid with the meal-offering, and offered it on the rock to Yahweh: and [the angel] did wondrously, and Manoah and his wife looked on.
Kwa maana, ikawa, mara huo mwali wa moto ulipopaa juu mbinguni kutoka pale madhabahuni, huyo malaika wa Bwana akapaa katika mwali wa moto wa madhabahu; nao Manoa na mkewe wakaangalia; wakainama kifudifudi.
For it happened, when the flame went up toward the sky from off the altar, that the angel of Yahweh ascended in the flame of the altar: and Manoah and his wife looked on; and they fell on their faces to the ground.
Lakini malaika wa Bwana hakumtokea Manoa tena, wala mkewe. Ndipo Manoa alipojua ya kwamba ndiye malaika wa Bwana.
But the angel of Yahweh did no more appear to Manoah or to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was the angel of Yahweh.
Manoa akamwambia mkewe, Hakika yetu tutakufa sisi, kwa sababu tumemwona Mungu.
Manoah said to his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
Lakini mkewe akamwambia, Kama Bwana angetaka kutuua hangepokea sadaka ya kuteketezwa, wala sadaka ya unga, mikononi mwetu, wala hangetuonyesha mambo hayo yote, wala hangetuambia mambo kama hayo wakati huu.
But his wife said to him, If Yahweh were pleased to kill us, he wouldn't have received a burnt offering and a meal-offering at our hand, neither would he have shown us all these things, nor would at this time have told such things as these.
Basi yule mwanamke akamzaa mtoto mwanamume akamwita jina lake Samsoni, mtoto huyu akakua, Bwana akambarikia.
The woman bore a son, and named him Samson: and the child grew, and Yahweh blessed him.
Roho ya Bwana ikaanza kumtaharakisha katika Mahane-dani, katikati ya Sora na Eshtaoli.
The Spirit of Yahweh began to move him in Mahaneh-dan, between Zorah and Eshtaol.
