Wakati huo, asema Bwana, nitakuwa Mungu wa jamaa zote za Israeli, nao watakuwa watu wangu.
“At that time,” declares the LORD, “I will be the God of all the families of Israel, and they will be My people.”

Bwana asema hivi, Watu wale walioachwa na upanga walipata neema jangwani; yaani, Israeli, hapo nilipokwenda kumstarehesha.
This is what the LORD says: “The people who survived the sword found favor in the wilderness when Israel went to find rest.”

Bwana alinitokea zamani, akisema, Naam nimekupenda kwa upendo wa milele, ndiyo maana nimekuvuta kwa fadhili zangu.
The LORD appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with loving devotion.

Mara ya pili nitakujenga, nawe utajengwa, Ee bikira wa Israeli mara ya pili utapambwa kwa matari yako, nawe utatokea katika michezo yao wanaofurahi.
Again I will build you, and you will be rebuilt, O Virgin Israel. Again you will take up your tambourines and go out in joyful dancing.

Mara ya pili utapanda mizabibu juu ya milima ya Samaria; wapanzi watapanda, nao watayafurahia matunda yake.
Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the farmers will plant and enjoy the fruit.

Maana kutakuwa siku moja, ambayo walinzi watalia juu ya vilima vya Efraimu, Inukeni, tukaende Sayuni, kwa Bwana, Mungu wetu.
For there will be a day when watchmen will call out on the hills of Ephraim, ‘Arise, let us go up to Zion, to the LORD our God!’”

Maana Bwana asema hivi, Mwimbieni Yakobo kwa furaha, mkampigie kelele mkuu wa mataifa, tangazeni, sifuni, mkaseme, Ee Bwana, uwaokoe watu wako, mabaki ya Israeli.
For this is what the LORD says: “Sing with joy for Jacob; shout for the foremost of the nations! Make your praises heard, and say, ‘O LORD, save Your people, the remnant of Israel!’

Tazama, nitawaleta toka nchi ya kaskazini, na kuwakusanya katika miisho ya dunia, na pamoja nao watakuja walio vipofu, na hao wachechemeao, mwanamke mwenye mimba, na yeye pia aliye na utungu wa kuzaa; watarudi huko, jeshi kubwa.
Behold, I will bring them from the land of the north and gather them from the farthest parts of the earth, including the blind and the lame, expectant mothers and women in labor. They will return as a great assembly!

Watakuja kwa kulia, na kwa maombi nitawaongoza; nitawaendesha penye mito ya maji, katika njia iliyonyoka; katika njia hiyo hawatajikwaa; maana mimi ni baba wa Israeli, na Efraimu ni mzaliwa wa kwanza wangu.
They will come with weeping, and by their supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk beside streams of waters, on a level path where they will not stumble. For I am Israel’s Father, and Ephraim is My firstborn.”

Lisikieni neno la Bwana, enyi mataifa, litangazeni visiwani mbali; mkaseme, Aliyemtawanya Israeli atamkusanya, na kumlinda, kama mchungaji alindavyo kundi lake.
Hear, O nations, the word of the LORD, and proclaim it in distant coastlands: “The One who scattered Israel will gather them and keep them as a shepherd keeps his flock.

Kwa maana Bwana amemweka huru Yakobo, amemkomboa mkononi mwake aliyekuwa hodari kuliko yeye.
For the LORD has ransomed Jacob and redeemed him from the hand that had overpowered him.
12
Nao watakuja, na kuimba katika mlima Sayuni, wataukimbilia wema wa Bwana, nafaka, na divai, na mafuta, na wachanga wa kondoo na wa ng'ombe; na roho zao zitakuwa kama bustani iliyotiwa maji; wala hawatahuzunika tena kabisa.
They will come and shout for joy on the heights of Zion; they will be radiant over the bounty of the LORD—the grain, new wine, and oil, and the young of the flocks and herds. Their life will be like a well-watered garden, and never again will they languish.

Ndipo bikira atafurahi katika kucheza, na vijana na wazee pamoja; maana nitageuza masikitiko yao kuwa furaha, nami nitawafariji, na kuwafurahisha waache huzuni zao.
Then the maidens will rejoice with dancing, young men and old as well. I will turn their mourning into joy, and give them comfort and joy for their sorrow.

Nami nitaishibisha roho ya makuhani kwa unono, na watu wangu watashiba kwa wema wangu, asema Bwana
I will fill the souls of the priests abundantly, and will fill My people with My goodness,” declares the LORD.

Bwana asema hivi, Sauti imesikiwa Rama, kilio, na maombolezo mengi, Raheli akiwalilia watoto wake; asikubali kufarijiwa kwa watoto wake, kwa kuwa hawako,
This is what the LORD says: “A voice is heard in Ramah, mourning and great weeping, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.”

Bwana asema hivi, Zuia sauti yako, usilie, na macho yako yasitoke machozi; Maana kazi yako itapata thawabu, nao watakuja tena toka nchi ya adui; Ndivyo asemavyo Bwana.
This is what the LORD says: “Keep your voice from weeping and your eyes from tears, for the reward for your work will come, declares the LORD. Then your children will return from the land of the enemy.

Tena liko tumaini kwa siku zako za mwisho, asema Bwana; na watoto wako watarejea hata mpaka wao wenyewe.
So there is hope for your future, declares the LORD, and your children will return to their own land.
18
Hakika nimemsikia Efraimu, akijililia hivi, Umeniadhibu, nami nikaadhibika, kama ndama asiyeizoelea nira; unigeuze, nami nitageuzwa; kwa maana wewe u Bwana, Mungu wangu.
I have surely heard Ephraim’s moaning: ‘You disciplined me severely, like an untrained calf. Restore me, that I may return, for You are the LORD my God.

Hakika baada ya kugeuzwa kwangu, nalitubu; na baada ya kufundishwa kwangu, nalijipiga pajani; nalitahayarika, naam, nalifadhaika, kwa sababu naliichukua aibu ya ujana wangu.
After I returned, I repented; and after I was instructed, I struck my thigh in grief. I was ashamed and humiliated because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’

Je! Efraimu siye mwanangu mpendwa? Je! Siye mtoto apendezaye? Maana kila nisemapo neno juu yake, ningali nikimkumbuka sana; kwa sababu hiyo moyo wangu unataabika kwa ajili yake; bila shaka nitamrehemu, asema Bwana.
Is not Ephraim a precious son to Me, a delightful child? Though I often speak against him, I still remember him. Therefore My heart yearns for him; I have great compassion for him,” declares the LORD.

Jiwekee alama za njia; jifanyie miti ya kukuongoza; uuelekeze moyo wako kwenye njia kuu, njia ile ile uliyoiendea; rudi tena, Ee bikira wa Israeli, irudie hii miji yako.
“Set up the road markers, put up the signposts. Keep the highway in mind, the road you have traveled. Return, O Virgin Israel, return to these cities of yours.

Hata lini utatanga-tanga, Ee binti mwenye kuasi? Kwa maana Bwana ameumba jambo jipya duniani; mwanamke atamlinda mwanamume.
How long will you wander, O faithless daughter? For the LORD has created a new thing in the land—a woman will shelter a man.”
23
Bwana wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israeli, asema hivi, Watatumia tena neno hili katika nchi ya Yuda, na katika miji yake, nitakapowarudisha mateka yao; Bwana na akubariki, Ee kao la haki, Ee mlima wa utakatifu.
This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “When I restore them from captivity, they will once again speak this word in the land of Judah and in its cities: ‘May the LORD bless you, O righteous dwelling place, O holy mountain.’

Na Yuda, na miji yake yote, watakaa humo pamoja; wakulima, nao waendao huko na huko pamoja na makundi yao.
And Judah and all its cities will dwell together in the land, the farmers and those who move with the flocks,
25
Kwa maana nimeishibisha roho yenye uchovu, nami nimeiridhisha kila roho yenye huzuni.
for I will refresh the weary soul and replenish all who are weak.”
26
Basi, nikaamka, nikaangalia; na usingizi wangu ulikuwa mtamu kwangu.
At this I awoke and looked around. My sleep had been most pleasant to me.
27
Tazama, siku zinakuja, asema Bwana, nitakapoipanda nyumba ya Israeli, na nyumba ya Yuda, mbegu ya mwanadamu na mbegu ya mnyama.
“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Judah with the seed of man and of beast.

Tena itakuwa, kwa kadiri nilivyowaangalia, ili kung'oa, na kubomoa, na kuangusha, na kuangamiza, na kutesa; kwa kadiri iyo hiyo nitawaangalia, ili kujenga, na kupanda, asema Bwana.
Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, to demolish, destroy, and bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant,” declares the LORD.
29
Siku zile, hawatasema tena, Baba za watu wamekula zabibu kali, na meno ya watoto wao yametiwa ganzi.
“In those days, it will no longer be said: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, and the teeth of the children are set on edge.’
30
Bali kila mtu atakufa kwa sababu ya uovu wake mwenyewe; kila mtu alaye zabibu kali, meno yake yatatiwa ganzi.
Instead, each will die for his own iniquity. If anyone eats the sour grapes, his own teeth will be set on edge.
31
Angalia, siku zinakuja, asema Bwana, nitakapofanya agano jipya na nyumba ya Israeli, na nyumba ya Yuda.
Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
32
Si kwa mfano wa agano lile nililolifanya na baba zao, katika siku ile nilipowashika mkono, ili kuwatoa katika nchi ya Misri; ambalo agano langu hilo walilivunja, ingawa nalikuwa mume kwao, asema Bwana.
It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt—a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.
33
Bali agano hili ndilo nitakalofanya na nyumba ya Israeli, baada ya siku zile, asema Bwana; Nitatia sheria yangu ndani yao, na katika mioyo yao nitaiandika; nami nitakuwa Mungu wao, nao watakuwa watu wangu.
“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.
34
Wala hawatamfundisha kila mtu jirani yake, na kila mtu ndugu yake, wakisema, Mjue Bwana; kwa maana watanijua wote, tangu mtu aliye mdogo miongoni mwao hata aliye mkubwa miongoni mwao, asema Bwana; maana nitausamehe uovu wao, wala dhambi yao sitaikumbuka tena.
No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”
35
Bwana asema hivi, awapaye watu jua, ili kuwa nuru wakati wa mchana, na amri za mwezi na nyota, ili kuwa nuru wakati wa usiku, aichafuaye bahari, hata mawimbi yake yakavuma; Bwana wa majeshi, ndilo jina lake;
Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day, who sets in order the moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the LORD of Hosts is His name:
36
Amri hizi zikiondoka, zisiwe mbele zangu, asema Bwana, ndipo wazao wa Israeli nao wataacha kuwa taifa mbele zangu milele.
“Only if this fixed order departed from My presence, declares the LORD, would Israel’s descendants ever cease to be a nation before Me.”
37
Bwana asema hivi, Kama mbingu zikiweza kupimwa, na misingi ya dunia ikiweza kugunduliwa huko chini, ndipo wazao wa Israeli pia nitawatupilia mbali, kwa ajili ya hayo yote waliyoyatenda, asema Bwana.
This is what the LORD says: “Only if the heavens above could be measured and the foundations of the earth below searched out would I reject all of Israel’s descendants because of all they have done,” declares the LORD.
38
Tazama, siku zinakuja, asema Bwana, mji huu utakapojengwa kwa ajili ya Bwana, toka buruji ya Hananeli hata lango la pembeni.
“The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when this city will be rebuilt for Me, from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.
39
Na kamba ya kupimia itaendelea moja kwa moja hata mlima Garebu, tena itazunguka na kufika Goa.
The measuring line will once again stretch out straight to the hill of Gareb and then turn toward Goah.
40
Na bonde lote la mizoga, na majivu, na mashamba yote mpaka kijito Kidroni, mpaka pembe ya lango la farasi, upande wa mashariki, patakuwa patakatifu kwa Bwana; hapatang'olewa, wala hapatabomolewa, hata milele.
The whole valley of the dead bodies and ashes, and all the fields as far as the Kidron Valley, to the corner of the Horse Gate to the east, will be holy to the LORD. It will never again be uprooted or demolished.”
