Bwana akasema hivi, Shuka nyumbani kwa mfalme wa Yuda, ukaseme neno hili huko,
This is what the LORD says: “Go down to the palace of the king of Judah and proclaim this message there,

ya kwamba, Sikia neno la Bwana, Ee mfalme wa Yuda; wewe uketiye katika kiti cha enzi cha Daudi, wewe, na watumishi wako, na watu wako wote waingiao kwa malango haya;
saying, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits on the throne of David—you and your officials and your people who enter these gates.

Bwana asema hivi, Fanyeni hukumu na haki, mkamtoe yeye aliyetekwa katika mikono ya mdhalimu; wala msiwatende mabaya mgeni, wala yatima, wala mjane, wala kuwadhulumu, wala msimwage damu ya mtu asiye na hatia katika mahali hapa.
This is what the LORD says: Administer justice and righteousness. Rescue the victim of robbery from the hand of his oppressor. Do no wrong or violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Do not shed innocent blood in this place.

Kwa maana mkifanya haya kweli kweli, ndipo watakapoingia kwa malango ya nyumba hii wafalme wenye kuketi katika kiti cha enzi cha Daudi, wanakwenda kwa magari, na wamepanda farasi yeye, na watumishi wake, na watu wake.
For if you will indeed carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David’s throne will enter through the gates of this palace riding on chariots and horses—they and their officials and their people.

Lakini kama hamtaki kusikia maneno haya, mimi naapa kwa nafsi yangu, asema Bwana, ya kuwa nyumba hii itakuwa ukiwa.
But if you do not obey these words, then I swear by Myself, declares the LORD, that this house will become a pile of rubble.’”

Kwa maana Bwana asema hivi, katika habari ya nyumba ya mfalme wa Yuda; Wewe u Gileadi kwangu, na kichwa cha Lebanoni; Ila hakika nitakufanya kuwa jangwa, na miji isiyokaliwa na watu.
For this is what the LORD says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “You are like Gilead to Me, like the summit of Lebanon; but I will surely turn you into a desert, like cities that are uninhabited.

Nami nitakufanyia tayari watu wenye kuharibu, kila mtu na silaha zake; Nao watakata mierezi miteule yako, na kuitupa motoni.
I will appoint destroyers against you, each man with his weapons, and they will cut down the choicest of your cedars and throw them into the fire.

Na mataifa mengi watapita karibu na mji huu, nao watasema kila mtu na jirani yake, Nini maana yake Bwana kuutenda hivi mji huu mkubwa?
And many nations will pass by this city and ask one another, ‘Why has the LORD done such a thing to this great city?’

Ndipo watakapojibu, Ni kwa sababu waliliacha agano la Bwana, Mungu wao, wakaabudu miungu mingine, na kuitumikia.
Then people will reply, ‘Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God and have worshiped and served other gods.’”

Msimlilie aliyekufa, wala msimwombolezee, Bali mlilieni huyo aendaye zake mbali; Kwa maana yeye hatarudi tena, Wala hataiona nchi aliyozaliwa.
Do not weep for him who is dead; do not mourn his loss. Weep bitterly for him who is exiled, for he will never return to see his native land.

Maana Bwana asema hivi, katika habari za Shalumu, mwana wa Yosia, mfalme wa Yuda; aliyemiliki badala ya Yosia, baba yake, yeye aliyetoka mahali hapa; Hatarudi huku tena;
For this is what the LORD says concerning Shallum son of Josiah, king of Judah, who succeeded his father Josiah but has gone forth from this place: “He will never return,

bali katika mahali pale walipomchukua mateka ndipo atakapokufa, wala hataiona nchi hii tena kamwe.
but he will die in the place to which he was exiled; he will never see this land again.”

Ole wake aijengaye nyumba yake kwa uovu! Na vyumba vyake kwa udhalimu! Atumiaye utumishi wa mwenzake bila ujira, Wala hampi mshahara wake;
“Woe to him who builds his palace by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms without justice, who makes his countrymen serve without pay, and fails to pay their wages,

Asemaye, Nitajijengea nyumba pana na vyumba vipana; Naye hujikatia madirisha; Na kuta zake zimefunikwa kwa mierezi, Na kupakwa rangi nyekundu.
who says, ‘I will build myself a great palace, with spacious upper rooms.’ So he cuts windows in it, panels it with cedar, and paints it with vermilion.

Je! Utatawala kwa sababu unashindana na watu kwa mierezi? Baba yako, je! Hakula na kunywa, na kufanya hukumu na haki? Hapo ndipo alipofanikiwa.
Does it make you a king to excel in cedar? Did not your father have food and drink? He administered justice and righteousness, and so it went well with him.

Alihukumu maneno ya maskini na mhitaji; hapo ndipo alipofanikiwa. Je! Huku siko kunijua, asema Bwana?
He took up the cause of the poor and needy, and so it went well with him. Is this not what it means to know Me?” declares the LORD.
17
Bali macho yako na moyo wako hauna utakalo ila kutamani, na kumwaga damu isiyo na hatia, na kudhulumu, na kutenda jeuri.
“But your eyes and heart are set on nothing except your own dishonest gain, on shedding innocent blood, on practicing extortion and oppression.”
18
Basi, Bwana asema hivi, katika habari ya Yehoyakimu, mwana wa Yosia, mfalme wa Yuda; Hawatamwombolezea, wakisema, Aa! Ndugu yangu; au, Aa! Dada yangu; wala hawatamlilia, wakisema, Aa! Bwana wangu; au, Aa! Utukufu wake.
Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah: “They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my brother! Alas, my sister!’ They will not mourn for him: ‘Alas, my master! Alas, his splendor!’

Atazikwa maziko ya punda, akibururwa, na kutupwa nje ya malango ya Yerusalemu.
He will be buried like a donkey, dragged away and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.
20
Haya panda Lebanoni, ukalie Upalize sauti yako katika Bashani; Ukalie kutoka Abarimu; Maana wapenzi wako wote wameangamia.
Go up to Lebanon and cry out; raise your voice in Bashan; cry out from Abarim, for all your lovers have been crushed.

Mimi nalisema nawe wakati wa kufanikiwa kwako; lakini ulisema, Sitaki kusikia. Hii ndiyo iliyokuwa desturi yako tangu ujana wako, kutokuitii sauti yangu.
I warned you when you were secure. You said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from youth, that you have not obeyed My voice.

Upepo utawalisha wachungaji wako wote, na wapenzi wako watakwenda kufungwa; hakika wakati huo utatahayarika, na kufadhaika kwa sababu ya uovu wako wote.
The wind will drive away all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Then you will be ashamed and humiliated because of all your wickedness.

Wewe ukaaye Lebanoni, Ufanyaye kioto chako katika mierezi, Utakuwa na hali ya kuhurumiwa sana, Upatapo utungu kama wa mwanamke azaaye.
O inhabitant of Lebanon, nestled in the cedars, how you will groan when pangs of anguish come upon you, agony like a woman in labor.”

Kama niishivyo mimi, asema Bwana, hata Konia, mwana wa Yehoyakimu, mfalme wa Yuda, angekuwa pete yenye muhuri katika mkono wangu wa kuume, ningekung'oa wewe hapo;
“As surely as I live,” declares the LORD, “even if you, Coniah son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on My right hand, I would pull you off.

nami nitakutia katika mikono ya watu wale wakutafutao roho yako, na katika mikono yao unaowaogopa, naam, katika mikono ya Nebukadreza, mfalme wa Babeli, na katika mikono ya Wakaldayo.
In fact, I will hand you over to those you dread, who want to take your life—to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and to the Chaldeans.

Nami nitakutupa nje, wewe na mama yako aliyekuzaa, mwende nchi nyingine ambayo hamkuzaliwa huko, nanyi mtakufa huko.
I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another land, where neither of you were born—and there you both will die.
27
Lakini nchi ile ambayo wanatamani kuirudia, hawatairudia kamwe.
You will never return to the land for which you long.”

Je! Mtu huyu, Konia, ni chombo kilichodharauliwa, na kuvunjika? Ni chombo kisichopendeza? Mbona wametupwa, yeye na wazao wake, na kutupwa katika nchi wasiyoijua?
Is this man Coniah a despised and shattered pot, a jar that no one wants? Why are he and his descendants hurled out and cast into a land they do not know?

Ee nchi, nchi, nchi, lisikie neno la Bwana.
O land, land, land, hear the word of the LORD!

Bwana asema hivi, Andikeni habari za mtu huyu kwamba hana watoto, kwamba mtu huyu hatafanikiwa siku zake zote; maana hapana mtu katika wazao wake atakayefanikiwa, akiketi katika kiti cha enzi cha Daudi, na kutawala tena katika Yuda.
This is what the LORD says: “Enroll this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime. None of his descendants will prosper to sit on the throne of David or to rule again in Judah.”
