Tena neno la Bwana likanijia, kusema,
Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Wewe hutaoa mke, wala hutakuwa na wana wala binti mahali hapa.
“You must not marry or have sons or daughters in this place.”

Maana Bwana asema hivi, katika habari za wana, na katika habari za binti, wazaliwao mahali hapa, na katika habari za mama zao waliowazaa, na katika habari za baba zao waliowazaa, katika nchi hii;
For this is what the LORD says concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and the mothers who bore them, and the fathers who fathered them in this land:

watakufa kwa maradhi mabaya; hawataliliwa, wala hawatazikwa; watakuwa kama samadi juu ya uso wa nchi; nao wataangamizwa kwa upanga, na kwa njaa; na mizoga yao itakuwa chakula cha ndege wa angani, na cha wanyama wa nchi.
“They will die from deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried, but will lie like dung on the ground. They will be finished off by sword and famine, and their corpses will become food for the birds of the air and beasts of the earth.”

Maana Bwana asema hivi, Usiingie ndani ya nyumba yenye matanga, wala usiende kuwaombolezea, wala kuwalilia; maana nimewaondolea watu hawa amani yangu, asema Bwana, hata fadhili zangu na rehema zangu.
Indeed, this is what the LORD says: “Do not enter a house where there is a funeral meal. Do not go to mourn or show sympathy, for I have removed from this people My peace, My loving devotion, and My compassion,” declares the LORD.

Wakubwa kwa wadogo wote pia watakufa katika nchi hii; hawatazikwa, wala watu hawatawalilia, wala kujikata-kata kwa ajili yao, wala kujinyoa kwa ajili yao;
“Both great and small will die in this land. They will not be buried or mourned, nor will anyone cut himself or shave his head for them.

wala watu hawatamega mkate kwa ajili yao, wakati wa kuomboleza, ili kuwafariji kwa ajili yao waliokufa; wala watu hawatawapa kikombe cha faraja, wanywe kwa ajili ya baba yao au mama yao.
No food will be offered to comfort those who mourn the dead; not even a cup of consolation will be given for the loss of a father or mother.

Wala usiingie ndani katika nyumba yenye karamu, kuketi pamoja nao, na kula na kunywa.
You must not enter a house where there is feasting and sit down with them to eat and drink.

Maana Bwana wa majeshi, Mungu wa Israeli, asema hivi, Mimi, mbele ya macho yenu, na katika siku zenu, nitaikomesha sauti ya furaha, na sauti ya kicheko, mahali hapa; sauti ya bwana arusi, na sauti ya bibi arusi.
For this is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to remove from this place, before your very eyes and in your days, the sounds of joy and gladness, the voices of the bride and bridegroom.

Tena itakuwa, utakapowaonyesha watu hawa maneno haya yote, nao wakakuambia, Mbona Bwana amenena juu yetu mabaya haya makuu? Uovu wetu ni uovu gani? Na dhambi yetu, tuliyomtenda Bwana, Mungu wetu, ni nini?
When you tell these people all these things, they will ask you, ‘Why has the LORD pronounced all this great disaster against us? What is our iniquity? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?’

Ndipo utakapowaambia, Ni kwa sababu baba zenu wameniacha mimi, asema Bwana, na kuwafuata miungu mingine, na kuwatumikia, na kuwaabudu, wakaniacha mimi, wasiishike torati yangu;
Then you are to answer them: ‘It is because your fathers have forsaken Me, declares the LORD, and followed other gods, and served and worshiped them. They abandoned Me and did not keep My instruction.

na ninyi mmetenda mabaya kupita baba zenu; maana angalieni, mnaenenda kila mmoja wenu kwa ushupavu wa moyo wake mbaya, msinisikilize mimi;
And you have done more evil than your fathers. See how each of you follows the stubbornness of his evil heart instead of obeying Me.

basi, kwa sababu hiyo, nitawatoeni katika nchi hii, na kuwaingiza katika nchi ambayo hamkuijua, wala ninyi wala baba zenu; na huko mtawatumikia miungu mingine mchana na usiku; kwa maana mimi sitawapa fadhili zangu hata kidogo.
So I will cast you out of this land into a land that neither you nor your fathers have known. There you will serve other gods day and night, for I will show you no favor.’

Kwa hiyo, angalia, siku zinakuja, asema Bwana, ambapo hawatasema tena, Aishivyo Bwana, aliyewaleta wana wa Israeli toka nchi ya Misri;
Yet behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when they will no longer say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of Egypt.’

lakini, Aishivyo Bwana, aliyewaleta wana wa Israeli toka nchi ya kaskazini, na toka nchi zote alikowafukuza; nami nitawarudisha katika nchi yao wenyewe niliyowapa baba zao.
Instead they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of the north and all the other lands to which He had banished them.’ For I will return them to their land that I gave to their forefathers.

Tazama, asema Bwana, Nitatuma watu kuwaita wavuvi wengi, nao watawavua; na baada ya hayo nitatuma watu kuwaita wawindaji wengi, nao watawawinda, watoke katika kila mlima, na kila kilima, na pango za majabali.
But for now I will send for many fishermen, declares the LORD, and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill, even from the clefts of the rocks.

Maana macho yangu yaziangalia njia zao zote, hawakufichwa uso wangu usiwaone, wala haukusitirika uovu wao macho yangu yasiuone.
For My eyes are on all their ways. They are not hidden from My face, and their guilt is not concealed from My eyes.

Nami kwanza nitawalipa uovu wao na dhambi zao maradufu, kwa kuwa wameitia unajisi nchi yangu, kwa mizoga ya vitu vyao vichukizavyo, na kuujaza urithi wangu kwa machukizo yao.
And I will first repay them double their iniquity and their sin, because they have defiled My land with the carcasses of their detestable idols, and they have filled My inheritance with their abominations.”

Ee Bwana, nguvu zangu, ngome yangu, na kimbilio langu siku ya taabu, kwako wewe watakuja mataifa yote toka ncha za dunia, wakisema, Baba zenu hawakurithi kitu ila uongo, naam, ubatili na vitu visivyofaa.
O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of distress, the nations will come to You from the ends of the earth, and they will say, “Our fathers inherited nothing but lies, worthless idols of no benefit at all.

Je! Mwanadamu ajifanyie miungu, wasio miungu?
Can man make gods for himself? Such are not gods!”

Basi, tazama, nitawajulisha, mara moja hii nitawajulisha, mkono wangu, na nguvu zangu; nao watajua ya kuwa, jina langu ni YEHOVA.
“Therefore behold, I will inform them, and this time I will make them know My power and My might; then they will know that My name is the LORD.
