Yesu akajibu, akawaambia tena kwa mithali, akisema,
Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
Ufalme wa mbinguni umefanana na mfalme mmoja aliyemfanyia mwanawe arusi.
"The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
Akawatuma watumwa wake wawaite walioalikwa kuja arusini; nao wakakataa kuja.
and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
Akatuma tena watu kwa wengine, akisema, Waambieni wale walioalikwa, Tazameni, nimeandaa karamu yangu; ng'ombe zangu na vinono vimekwisha kuchinjwa, na vyote vimekuwa tayari, njoni arusini.
Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!"'
Lakini hawakujali, wakaenda zao, mmoja shambani kwake, mmoja kwenye biashara yake;
But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
nao waliosalia wakawakamata watumwa wake, wakawatenda jeuri, na kuwaua.
and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
Basi yule mfalme akaghadhibika; akapeleka majeshi yake, akawaangamiza wauaji wale, akauteketeza mji wao.
When the king heard that, he was angry, and he sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
Kisha akawaambia watumwa wake, Arusi i tayari, lakini wale walioalikwa hawakustahili.
"Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy.
Basi enendeni hata njia panda za barabara, na wote mwaonao waiteni arusini.
Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.'
Watumwa wale wakatoka wakaenda njia kuu, wakakusanya wote waliowaona, waovu kwa wema; arusi ikajaa wageni.
Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.
Lakini alipoingia yule mfalme ili kuwatazama wageni wake, akaona mle mtu mmoja asiyevaa vazi la arusi.
But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who didn't have on wedding clothing,
Akamwambia, Rafiki, uliingiaje humu nawe huna vazi la arusi? Naye akatekewa.
and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?' He was speechless.
Mfalme akawaambia watumishi, Mfungeni mikono na miguu, mchukueni mkamtupe katika giza la nje; ndiko kutakuwako kilio na kusaga meno.
Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.'
Kwa maana waitwao ni wengi, bali wateule ni wachache.
For many are called, but few chosen."
Ndipo Mafarisayo wakaenda zao, wakafanya shauri, jinsi ya kumtega kwa maneno.
Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
Wakatuma kwake wanafunzi wao pamoja na Maherodi, wakasema, Mwalimu, twajua ya kuwa wewe u mtu wa kweli, na njia ya Mungu waifundisha katika kweli, wala hujali cheo cha mtu awaye yote, kwa maana hutazami sura za watu.
They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter who you teach, for you aren't partial to anyone.
Basi utuambie, Waonaje? Ni halali kumpa Kaisari kodi, ama sivyo?
Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
Lakini Yesu akaufahamu uovu wao, akasema, Mbona mnanijaribu, enyi wanafiki?
But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
Nionyesheni fedha ya kodi. Nao wakamletea dinari.
Show me the tax money." They brought to him a denarius.
Akawaambia, Ni ya nani sanamu hii, na anwani hii?
He asked them, "Whose is this image and inscription?"
Wakamwambia, Ni ya Kaisari. Akawaambia, Basi, mlipeni Kaisari yaliyo ya Kaisari, na Mungu yaliyo ya Mungu.
They said to him, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
Waliposikia, walistaajabu, wakamwacha, wakaenda zao.
When they heard it, they marveled, and left him, and went away.
Siku ile Masadukayo, watu wasemao ya kwamba hakuna kiyama, wakamwendea, wakamwuliza,
On that day Sadducees (those who say that there is no resurrection) came to him. They asked him,
wakisema, Mwalimu, Musa alisema, Mtu akifa, akiwa hana watoto, ndugu yake na amwoe yule mkewe, ili ampatie nduguye mzao.
saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up seed for his brother.'
Basi, kwetu kulikuwa na ndugu saba; wa kwanza akaoa, akafariki, na kwa kuwa hana mzao, akamwachia nduguye mke wake.
Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no seed left his wife to his brother.
Vivyo hivyo wa pili naye, na wa tatu, hata wote saba.
In like manner the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
Mwisho wa wote yule mwanamke akafa naye.
After them all, the woman died.
Basi, katika kiyama, atakuwa mke wa yupi katika wale saba? Maana wote walikuwa naye.
In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her."
Yesu akajibu, akawaambia, Mwapotea, kwa kuwa hamyajui maandiko wala uweza wa Mungu.
But Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
Kwa maana katika kiyama hawaoi wala hawaolewi, bali huwa kama malaika mbinguni.
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like God's angels in heaven.
Tena kwa habari ya kiyama ya watu, hamjalisoma neno lililonenwa na Mungu, akisema,
But concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven't you read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
Mimi ni Mungu wa Ibrahimu, na Mungu wa Isaka, na Mungu wa Yakobo? Mungu si Mungu wa wafu, bali wa walio hai.
'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
Na makutano waliposikia, walishangaa kwa mafunzo yake.
When the multitudes heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
Na Mafarisayo waliposikia ya kwamba amewafumba kinywa wale Masadukayo, walifanya shauri pamoja.
But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, gathered themselves together.
Mmoja wao, mwana-sheria, akamwuliza, akimjaribu;
One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him.
Mwalimu, katika torati ni amri ipi iliyo kuu?
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"
Akamwambia, Mpende Bwana Mungu wako kwa moyo wako wote, na kwa roho yako yote, na kwa akili zako zote.
Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
Hii ndiyo amri iliyo kuu, tena ni ya kwanza.
This is the first and great commandment.
Na ya pili yafanana nayo, nayo ni hii, Mpende jirani yako kama nafsi yako.
A second likewise is this, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
Katika amri hizi mbili hutegemea torati yote na manabii.
The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments."
Na Mafarisayo walipokusanyika, Yesu aliwauliza, akisema, Mwaonaje katika habari za Kristo?
Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
Ni mwana wa nani? Wakamwambia, Ni wa Daudi.
saying, "What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "Of David."
Akawauliza, Imekuwaje basi Daudi katika Roho kumwita Bwana, akisema,
He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
Bwana alimwambia Bwana wangu, Uketi mkono wangu wa kuume, Hata niwawekapo adui zako Kuwa chini ya miguu yako?
'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit on my right hand, Until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?'
Basi, Daudi akimwita Bwana, amekuwaje ni mwanawe?
"If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?"
Wala hakuweza mtu kumjibu neno; wala hakuthubutu mtu ye yote tangu siku ile kumwuliza neno tena.
No one was able to answer him a word, neither dared any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.
