“Ushuhuda,” which means “testimony” in Swahili, is a bilingual song by Msanii Music Group that looks back on a hard time and credits God for the outcome. The verses recall a time when the way could not be seen and the singers cried “Bwana tusaidie” (Lord, help us), thinking the storm would drown them, but He took them by the hand and His grace became the strength they needed.
The chorus carries the testimony: “Look at us now… huu ni ushuhuda,” a story God wrote with “a beautiful ending,” bringing them over all the waves.
