Maneno ya Aguri bin Yake; mausia mtu huyu aliyomwambia Ithieli, naam, Ithieli na Ukali. Mithali 30:1

The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, the oracle: The man says to Ithiel, To Ithiel and Ucal:

Hakika nimekuwa kama mnyama, wala si mtu; Wala sina ufahamu wa mwanadamu; Mithali 30:2

"Surely I am the most ignorant man, And don't have a man's understanding.

Wala sikujifunza hekima; Wala sina maarifa ya kumjua Mtakatifu. Mithali 30:3

I have not learned wisdom, Neither do I have the knowledge of the Holy One.

Ni nani aliyepanda mbinguni na kushuka chini? Ni nani aliyekamata upepo kwa makonzi yake? Ni nani aliyeyafunga maji ndani ya nguo yake? Ni nani aliyefanya imara ncha zote za nchi? Jina lake ni nani? Na ni nani jina la mwanawe, kama wajua? Mithali 30:4

Who has ascended up into heaven, and descended? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in his garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you know?

Kila neno la Mungu limehakikishwa; Yeye ni ngao yao wamwaminio. Mithali 30:5

"Every word of God is flawless. He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Usiongeze neno katika maneno yake; Asije akakulaumu, ukaonekana u mwongo. Mithali 30:6

Don't you add to his words, Lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Mambo haya mawili nimekuomba; Usininyime [matatu] kabla sijafa. Mithali 30:7

"Two things I have asked of you; Don't deny me before I die:

Uniondolee ubatili na uongo; Usinipe umaskini wala utajiri; Unilishe chakula kilicho kadiri yangu. Mithali 30:8

Remove far from me falsehood and lies. Give me neither poverty nor riches. Feed me with the food that is needful for me;

Nisije nikashiba nikakukana, Nikasema, Bwana ni nani? Wala nisiwe maskini sana nikaiba, Na kulitaja bure jina la Mungu wangu. Mithali 30:9

Lest I be full, deny you, and say, 'Who is Yahweh?' Or lest I be poor, and steal, And so dishonor the name of my God.

Usimchongee mtumwa kwa bwana wake; Asije akakulaani, ukaonekana una hatia. Mithali 30:10

"Don't slander a servant to his master, Lest he curse you, and you be held guilty.

Kuna kizazi cha watu wamlaanio baba yao; Wala hawambariki mama yao. Mithali 30:11

There is a generation that curses their father, And doesn't bless their mother.

Kuna kizazi cha watu walio safi machoni pao wenyewe; Ambao hawakuoshwa uchafu wao. Mithali 30:12

There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, Yet are not washed from their filthiness.

Kuna kizazi cha watu ambao macho yao yameinuka kama nini! Na kope zao zimeinuka sana. Mithali 30:13

There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! Their eyelids are lifted up.

Kuna kizazi cha watu ambao meno yao ni panga; Na vigego vyao ni kama visu. Ili kuwala maskini waondolewe katika nchi, Na wahitaji katika wanadamu. Mithali 30:14

There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And their jaws like knives, To devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men.

Mruba anao binti wawili, Waliao, Nipe! Nipe! Kuna vitu vitatu visivyoshiba kamwe, Naam, vinne visivyosema, Basi! Mithali 30:15

"The leach has two daughters: 'Give, give.' "There are three things that are never satisfied; Four that don't say, 'Enough:'

Kuzimu; na tumbo lisilozaa; Nchi isiyoshiba maji; na moto usiosema, Basi! Mithali 30:16

Sheol, The barren womb; The earth that is not satisfied with water; And the fire that doesn't say, 'Enough.'

Jicho la mtu amdhihakiye babaye, Na kudharau kumtii mamaye; Kunguru wa bondeni wataling'oa, Na vifaranga vya tai watalila. Mithali 30:17

The eye that mocks at his father, And scorns obedience to his mother: The ravens of the valley shall pick it out, The young eagles shall eat it.

Kuna mambo matatu yaliyo ya ajabu kwangu, Naam, kuna manne nisiyoyafahamu. Mithali 30:18

"There are three things which are too amazing for me, Four which I don't understand:

Mwendo wa tai katika hewa; Na mwendo wa nyoka juu ya mwamba; Mwendo wa merikebu katikati ya bahari; Na mwendo wa mtu pamoja na msichana. Mithali 30:19

The way of an eagle in the air; The way of a serpent on a rock; The way of a ship in the midst of the sea; And the way of a man with a maiden.

Hivyo ndivyo mwendo wa mwanamke mzinifu; Hula, akapangusa kinywa chake, Akasema, Sikufanya uovu. Mithali 30:20

So is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats and wipes her mouth, And says, 'I have done nothing wrong.'

Kwa ajili ya mambo matatu nchi hutetemeka, Naam, kwa ajili ya manne haiwezi kuvumilia. Mithali 30:21

"For three things the earth tremble, And under four, it can't bear up:

Mtumwa apatapo kuwa mfalme; Mpumbavu ashibapo chakula; Mithali 30:22

For a servant when he is king; A fool when he is filled with food;

Mwanamke mwenye kuchukiza aolewapo; Na mjakazi aliye mrithi wa bibi yake. Mithali 30:23

For an unloved woman when she is married; And a handmaid who is heir to her mistress.

Kuna viumbe vinne duniani vilivyo vidogo; Lakini vina akili nyingi sana. Mithali 30:24

"There are four things which are little on the earth, But they are exceedingly wise:

Chungu ni watu wasio na nguvu; Lakini hujiwekea chakula wakati wa hari. Mithali 30:25

The ants are not a strong people, Yet they provide their food in the summer;

Wibari ni watu dhaifu; Lakini hujifanyia nyumba katika miamba. Mithali 30:26

The conies are but a feeble folk, Yet make they their houses in the rocks;

Nzige hawana mfalme; Lakini huenda wote pamoja vikosi vikosi. Mithali 30:27

The locusts have no king, Yet they advance in ranks;

Mjusi hushika kwa mikono yake; Lakini yumo majumbani mwa wafalme. Mithali 30:28

You can catch a lizard with your hands, Yet it is in kings' palaces.

Kuna watatu wenye mwendo wa kupendeza, Naam, wanne walio na mwendo mzuri. Mithali 30:29

"There are three things which are stately in their march, Four which are stately in going:

Simba aliye hodari kupita wanyama wote; Wala hajiepushi na aliye yote; Mithali 30:30

The lion, which is mightiest among animals, And doesn't turn away for any;

Jimbi aendaye tambo; na beberu; Na mfalme ambaye haasiki. Mithali 30:31

The greyhound, The male goat also; And the king against whom there is no rising up.

Ikiwa umefanya kipumbavu kwa kujikuza; Au ikiwa umewaza mabaya; Basi weka mkono wako juu ya kinywa chako. Mithali 30:32

"If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, Or if you have thought evil, Put your hand over your mouth.

Kwa maana kupiga maziwa huleta siagi; Na kupiga pua hutokeza damu; kadhalika kuchochea hasira hutokeza ugomvi. Mithali 30:33

For as the churning of milk brings forth butter, And the wringing of the nose brings forth blood; So the forcing of wrath brings forth strife."
