About Dr. Sarah K
Dr. Sarah K (born Sarah Njeri Mwangi) is a Kenyan gospel music minister, vocalist, and songwriter. She was born in Nairobi on April 30, 1971. She is a pastor’s wife within the Anglican Church of Kenya and serves as the founder and leader of “Back to the Root of Worship” (BTR) ministries.
She began leading worship in church at an early age and recorded her first song in 1991. She is married to Rev. Maj. Samuel Mwangi Thubi, and the couple has three children.
Dr. Sarah K hosts “Tuesday Worship Moments” in Nairobi. Her recorded songs include “Nimekuja Kusema (feat. Shachah Team),” “Mnyunyizi Wangu,” “Gacumbiri (Pale Kilele),” “Sio Mimi,” “Usiyeshindwa,” “Naliita,” “Hatua,” and “Say a Word.” Through her music and ministry, she has long been dedicated to worship within the Kenyan church community.
