About Don Moen
Don Moen is a singer, songwriter, and producer of Christian worship music who became a central figure in the contemporary worship movement. He was born Donald James "Don" Moen on June 29, 1950, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and studied music at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His career began in the 1970s touring with the music ministry group Living Sound alongside evangelist Terry Law.
Moen served for over twenty years as a creative director and president of Integrity Music, where he was instrumental in the production of the Hosanna! Music series of praise and worship albums. His early album Give Thanks (1986) was certified Gold by the RIAA. In 1994, he won a GMA Dove Award for Musical of the Year for God With Us, a project that also became an album title that year.
As a songwriter, Moen is known for worship songs including "God Will Make a Way" and "God Is Good All the Time." The latter earned him a GMA Dove Award for Country Recorded Song of the Year in 2003. His discography also includes Worship with Don Moen (1992), The Mercy Seat (1999), Heal Our Land (2000), I Will Sing (2000), and Hymnbook (2012). His music has achieved global sales of over five million units.
In 2007, Moen founded his own company, The Don Moen Company, and he also started the nonprofit ministry Worship in Action. He received the Ray DeVries Church Ministry Award in 2002 and was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2019.
