This song by Don Moen is a prayer for greater closeness with God. The first verse names a longing that only He can fill and a raging storm that only He can still. The singer says the soul is thirsty to know Him as he is known, and asks to drink from the river that flows before His throne.
The chorus asks to be taken further into love, held close in His embrace, and to go further than ever before. The singer says he wants only to love Him more and more. The second verse describes seeking His face from one sunrise to the next, drawn by the Spirit to the promise of grace, and finding hope that lasts and a satisfaction found only in His presence.
