Hillsong Worship is a praise and worship collective based in Sydney, Australia, originating from Hillsong Church. The group began making music in 1983 and was known as Hillsong Live until June 2014, when it was renamed Hillsong Worship. Notable members have included Darlene Zschech, Marty Sampson, Brooke Fraser (Ligertwood), Reuben Morgan, and Joel Houston. The group’s music is produced under the Hillsong Music label and has been distributed by partners including Integrity Music and Sparrow Records.
Since its debut album Spirit and Truth in 1988, Hillsong Worship has released numerous albums intended for congregational worship and personal devotion. Their catalog includes landmark titles such as Shout to the Lord (1996), For All You've Done (2004), Saviour King (2007), This Is Our God (2008), Cornerstone (2012), Open Heaven / River Wild (2015), and What a Beautiful Name (2016).
The group’s work has received notable industry recognition. In 2018, Hillsong Worship won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song for “What a Beautiful Name.” That same year, Billboard named them Top Christian Artist of 2017 and Top Christian Duo/Group of 2017. Two of their albums, For All You've Done and Open Heaven / River Wild, reached number one on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart.
