Meaning & Inspiration
Now Is The Time gathers several dimensions of Christian life into an immediate response of worship. Love, hope, peace, righteousness, faith, and joy are named as gifts found in God, while healing and wholeness are connected with life in Christ. The repeated word “now” gives the chorus its urgency: worship and faithful living are not postponed until circumstances improve. Thoughts, dreams, and plans are laid down as an act of surrender.
The language of living in Christ and Christ living within the believer closely echoes Paul’s teaching about a life reshaped by union with him. Offering every plan to God also resembles the biblical call to present one’s whole life as worship. The closing appeal for God’s kingdom to come draws directly on the pattern of prayer Jesus gave his disciples. These themes make worship more than a sung moment; it includes identity, surrender, and daily allegiance under God’s rule.
