About Shane & Shane
Shane & Shane is a Texas-based contemporary worship music duo made up of Shane Barnard and Shane Everett. Both members provide vocals, with Barnard also playing acoustic guitar. The pair met while attending Texas A&M University and began their music career in the early 2000s, becoming known for acoustic praise and worship music.
The duo has released numerous albums over the years, including Psalms (2002), Carry Away (2003), and The One You Need (2011)—the latter reaching No. 53 on the Billboard 200 chart. They have also produced several projects that set Psalms to music, such as Psalms II (2015). Their catalog later expanded to include The Worship Initiative (2015), Hymns, Vol. 1 (2019), and Psalms, Hymns, and Spiritual Songs, Vol. 1 (2021).
Both Barnard and Everett have served as worship directors at Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Texas. In 2014, they launched The Worship Initiative, an online platform that provides resources, instructional videos, and chord charts for worship leaders. Through this effort, Shane & Shane have shifted from touring artists to equipping other congregations with biblically grounded worship materials.
