Kumbukumbu la Torati 2 (Swahili) Deuteronomy 2 (English)

Ndipo tukageuka, tukashika safari yetu kwenda jangwani kwa njia ya Bahari ya Shamu, kama alivyoniambia Bwana; tukawa kuizunguka milima ya Seiri siku nyingi. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:1

 Then we turned, and took our journey into the wilderness by the way to the Red Sea, as Yahweh spoke to me; and we compassed Mount Seir many days.

Bwana akanena, akaniambia, Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:2

 Yahweh spoke to me, saying,

Mlivyouzunguka mlima huu vyatosha; geukeni upande wa kaskazini. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:3

 You have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward.

Nawe waagize watu, uwaambie, Mtapita kati ya mpaka wa ndugu zenu wana wa watu, uwaambie, Mtapita kati ya mpaka wa ndugu zenu wana wa Esau waketio Seiri; nao watawaogopa; basi jiangalieni nafsi zenu sana; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:4

 Command you the people, saying, You are to pass through the border of your brothers the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir; and they will be afraid of you: take good heed to yourselves therefore;

msitete nao; kwa maana sitawapa katika nchi yao kamwe, hata kiasi cha kukanyaga wayo wa mguu; kwa kuwa nimempa Esau milima ya Seiri kuwa milki yake. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:5

 don't contend with them; for I will not give you of their land, no, not so much as for the sole of the foot to tread on; because I have given Mount Seir to Esau for a possession.

Nunueni vyakula kwao kwa fedha, mpate kula; na maji nayo nunueni kwao kwa fedha, mpate kunywa. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:6

 You shall purchase food of them for money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water of them for money, that you may drink.

Kwa kuwa Bwana, Mungu wako, amekubarikia katika kazi yote ya mkono wako; amejua ulivyotembea katika jangwa kubwa hili; miaka arobaini hii alikuwa nawe Bwana, Mungu wako; hukukosa kitu. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:7

 For Yahweh your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand; he has known your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years Yahweh your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.

Basi tukapita kando yao ndugu zetu wana wa Esau, waketio Seiri kutoka njia ya Araba, kutoka Elathi na kutoka Esion-geberi. Tukageuka tukapita njia ya bara ya Moabu. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:8

 So we passed by from our brothers the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber. We turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.

Bwana akaniambia, usiwasumbue Wamoabi, wala usishindane nao katika mapigano; kwa kuwa sitakupa katika nchi yake kuimiliki; kwa sababu Ari nimewapa wana wa Lutu kuimiliki. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:9

 Yahweh said to me, Don't bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you of his land for a possession; because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession.

(Walioketi humo hapo kale ni Waemi, nao ni watu wakubwa, wengi, warefu, mfano wa Waanaki; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:10

 (The Emim lived therein before, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim:

na hawa nao wadhaniwa kuwa majitu kama Waanaki;lakini Wamoabi huwaita Waemi. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:11

 these also are accounted Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.

Na Wahori nao walikuwa wakikaa Seiri hapo kale, lakini wana wa Esau waliwafuata; wakawaangamiza mbele yao, wakakaa badala yao; kama alivyofanya Israeli nchi ya milki yake aliyopewa na Bwana.) Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:12

 The Horites also lived in Seir before, but the children of Esau succeeded them; and they destroyed them from before them, and lived in their place; as Israel did to the land of his possession, which Yahweh gave to them.)

Sasa basi ondokeni, mkakivuke kijito cha Zeredi. Nasi tukakivuka kile kijito cha Zeredi. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:13

 Now rise up, and get you over the brook Zered. We went over the brook Zered.

Na siku tulizokuwa tukienda kutoka Kadesh-barnea hata tulipovuka kijito cha Zeredi, zilikuwa ni miaka thelathini na minane; maana, hata walipokwisha kuangamizwa watu wa vita kutoka kati ya marago, kizazi chao chote, kama walivyoapiwa na Bwana. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:14

 The days in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, were thirty-eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as Yahweh swore to them.

Tena mkono wa Bwana ulikuwa juu yao ili kuwaangamiza, kuwatoa kati ya marago, hata walipokoma. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:15

 Moreover the hand of Yahweh was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.

Basi ikawa, walipokwisha angamizwa kwa kufa watu wote wa vita kati ya watu, Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:16

 So it happened, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,

Bwana aliniambia, akasema, Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:17

 that Yahweh spoke to me, saying,

Hivi leo ivuke Ari, mpaka wa Moabu; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:18

 You are this day to pass over Ar, the border of Moab:

na utakaposongea kuwaelekea wana wa Amoni, usiwasumbue wana wa Amoni, wala usishindane nao; kwa kuwa sitakupa katika nchi ya hao wana wa Amoni kuwa milki yako; kwa sababu nimewapa wana wa Lutu iwe milki yao. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:19

 and when you come near over against the children of Ammon, don't bother them, nor contend with them; for I will not give you of the land of the children of Ammon for a possession; because I have given it to the children of Lot for a possession.

(Nchi hiyo nayo yadhaniwa kuwa ni nchi ya Warefai, hapo kale Warefai walikaa humo; lakini Waamoni huwaita Wazamzumi; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:20

 (That also is accounted a land of Rephaim: Rephaim lived therein before; but the Ammonites call them Zamzummim,

nao ni watu wengi, wakubwa, warefu, kama Waanaki; lakini Bwana aliwaangamiza mbele yao; wakawafuata wakakaa badala yao; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:21

 a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim; but Yahweh destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place;

kama vile alivyowafanyia wana wa Esau, waliokaa Seiri, alipowaangamiza Wahori mbele yao; wakawafuata, wakakaa badala yao hata hivi leo; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:22

 as he did for the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, when he destroyed the Horites from before them; and they succeeded them, and lived in their place even to this day:

na Waavi waliokuwa wakikaa katika vijiji mpaka Gaza waliangamizwa na Wakaftori waliotoka Kaftori, na hawa wakakaa badala yao.) Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:23

 and the Avvim, who lived in villages as far as Gaza, the Caphtorim, who came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and lived in their place.)

Ondokeni, mshike safari yenu, mvuke bonde la Arnoni; tazama, nimemtia Sihoni Mwamori mfalme wa Heshboni mkononi mwako, na nchi yake; anzeni kuimiliki, mshindane naye katika mapigano. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:24

 Rise up, take your journey, and pass over the valley of the Arnon: behold, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land; begin to possess it, and contend with him in battle.

Hivi leo nitaanza mimi kutia utisho wako na kuhofiwa kwako juu ya watu walio chini ya mbingu kila mahali, watakaosikia uvumi wako, na kutetemeka, na kuingiwa na uchungu kwa sababu yako. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:25

 This day will I begin to put the dread of you and the fear of you on the peoples who are under the whole sky, who shall hear the report of you, and shall tremble, and be in anguish because of you.

Nikatuma wajumbe kutoka bara ya Kedemothi kwenda kwa Sihoni mfalme wa Heshboni na maneno ya amani, kusema. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:26

 I sent messengers out of the wilderness of Kedemoth to Sihon king of Heshbon with words of peace, saying,

Nipishe katikati ya nchi yako; nitakwenda kwa njia ya barabara, sitageuka kwenda mkono wa kuume wala wa kushoto. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:27

 Let me pass through your land: I will go along by the highway, I will turn neither to the right hand nor to the left.

Nawe uniuzie chakula kwa fedha nile; unipe na maji kwa fedha, ninywe; ila unipishe katikati kwa miguu yangu, hayo tu; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:28

 You shall sell me food for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only let me pass through on my feet,

kama walivyonifanyia hao wana wa Esau waketio Seiri, na hao Wamoabi waketio Ari; hata nivuke Yordani niingie nchi tupewayo na Bwana, Mungu wetu. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:29

 as the children of Esau who dwell in Seir, and the Moabites who dwell in Ar, did to me; until I shall pass over the Jordan into the land which Yahweh our God gives us.

Lakini Sihoni mfalme wa Heshboni hakutuacha kupitia kwake; kwa kuwa Bwana, Mungu wako, alimfanya mgumu roho yake, akamtia ukaidi moyoni mwake, apate mtia mkononi mwako kama alivyo hivi leo. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:30

 But Sihon king of Heshbon would not let us pass by him; for Yahweh your God hardened his spirit, and made his heart obstinate, that he might deliver him into your hand, as at this day.

Kisha Bwana akaniambia, Tazama, nimeanza kumtoa Sihoni na nchi yake mbele yako; anza kuimiliki, upate kuirithi nchi yake. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:31

 Yahweh said to me, Behold, I have begun to deliver up Sihon and his land before you: begin to possess, that you may inherit his land.

Ndipo Sihoni alipotutokea juu yetu yeye na watu wake wote, kupigana huko Yahasa. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:32

 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Jahaz.

Bwana, Mungu wetu, akamtoa mbele yetu, tukampiga yeye na wanawe, na watu wake wote. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:33

 Yahweh our God delivered him up before us; and we struck him, and his sons, and all his people.

Tukatwaa miji yake yote wakati huo, tukaharibu kabisa kila mji uliokuwa na watu, pamoja na wanawake na wadogo; tusimsaze hata mmoja; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:34

 We took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones; we left none remaining:

ila ng'ombe zao tuliwatwaa kuwa mawindo yetu, pamoja na nyara za miji tuliyoitwaa. Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:35

 only the cattle we took for a prey to ourselves, with the spoil of the cities which we had taken.

Kutoka Aroeri iliyo katika ukingo wa bonde la Arnoni, na huo mji ulio ndani ya bonde, mpaka kufika Gileadi, hapakuwa na mji uliokuwa mrefu kutushinda; Bwana, Mungu wetu, aliiweka wazi yote mbele yetu; ila nchi ya wana wa Amoni hukuisongelea; Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:36

 From Aroer, which is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and [from] the city that is in the valley, even to Gilead, there was not a city too high for us; Yahweh our God delivered up all before us:

upande wote wa mto wa Yaboki, na miji ya nchi ile ya milimani, na kila mahali alipotukataza Bwana, Mungu wetu.

Kumbukumbu la Torati 2:37

 only to the land of the children of Ammon you didn't come near; all the side of the river Jabbok, and the cities of the hill-country, and wherever Yahweh our God forbade us.
