Fungua Mbingu Lyrics – Emma Omonge youtu.be

Naomba nitembee chini ya mbingu lililofunguka

Naomba nihudumu chini ya uwepo uloshuka

Naomba mkono wako usitoke kichwani mwangu

Uzito wako dhamana kuu kwangu

Naomba nitembee chini ya mbingu lililofunguka

Naomba nihudumu chini ya uwepo uloshuka

Naomba mkono wako usitoke kichwani mwangu

Uzito wako dhamana kuu kwangu

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Tazama mambo machungu yananigonga moyoni

Tazama mambo mazito yananipiga moyoni

Nimkimbiliaye amejeruhiwa

Nimwombaye amepungukiwa

Nimwitae ameshushika

Ni wewe tu jibu langu

Nimkimbiliaye amejeruhiwa

Nimwombaye amepungukiwa

Nimwitae ameshushika

Ni wewe tu jibu langu

Uliye na funguo, fungua milango yangu

Uliye na sikio, sikia maombi yangu

Nifungulie kwa huduma zako

Kiachiliwe kilicho changu

Yakuguse machozi yangu

Nifungulie eeh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Fungua mbingu, majibu yapatikane

Fungua mbingu uuh

Meaning & Inspiration

Fungua Mbingu is a sustained prayer for Gods presence, help, and open access. The singer asks to walk and serve beneath an opened heaven, with Gods hand remaining near and his presence carrying great value. Painful circumstances and the limitations of other people sharpen the confession that God alone is the answer. The refrain turns that need into a repeated appeal for heaven to open and answers to be found.

The later requests draw on biblical images of God hearing prayer and holding authority to open what no one else can close. Tears, wounded companions, and blocked doors are brought before him without pretending that human support is sufficient. The lyric therefore belongs naturally to worship shaped by dependence and petition. Its hope is not placed in a technique or human influence, but in the Lord who hears, acts, opens doors, and remains present with the person who calls to him.
