About Dunsin Oyekan
Dunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian gospel singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, often referred to by the moniker "The Eagle." Born on November 5, 1984, in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria, he first learned to play the guitar at age 10, encouraged by his late father, Gbadebo Oyekan, who was a pastor and leader of the "Spiritual Singers" group. Oyekan studied Industrial Chemistry at the University of Ilorin before transitioning to full-time worship ministry in 2014.
Before launching his independent ministry, Oyekan served as the music director for the Avalanche choir at the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA). He is the convener of several worship platforms, including the Code Red Worship Experience, The Outpouring, and the Healing Room. His recorded work includes the albums Code Red (2016), Kingdom Now (2019), The Gospel of the Kingdom (2021), The Glory Experience (Songs of Zion) (2022), The Birth of Revival (2023), and The Great Commission (2024). He has also released singles such as "Open Up" and "Fragrance to Fire."
Oyekan was married to Adedoyin Oyekan until her passing in 2019; they had two children together. In 2020, he was named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Christian Ministry in Nigeria by Ynaija. The following year, he received a nomination for Song of Excellence at the Africa Gospel Music and Media Awards for the song "Imole De." Through his music and signature worship gatherings, Oyekan continues to be a recognized voice in Nigerian gospel ministry.
