Nothing less than all

Meaning & Inspiration
“Roar” by Dunsin Oyekan is a Nigerian worship song that pictures the church as an army rising in prayer. The opening call, “Let the army roar,” is answered with “Hey hey,” and the verse says an army is rising that will not take no for an answer. Its demand is for God Himself: “Nothing less than all of You.”
The song says the singers will not wait for God to come because they are right where He is, desperate for all of Him. This is close to Psalm 63:1 and to the persistent pursuit in Jeremiah 29:13, seeking God with the whole heart. A later section repeats “Our generation shall praise Your name,” which echoes Psalm 145:4 about one generation praising God’s works to another.
The closing lines move into spiritual warfare language and proclamation. The song is a loud, repeated declaration of hunger for God’s presence and confidence in His victory.
