Hillsong UNITED, also known simply as UNITED, is a contemporary worship collective that emerged from the youth ministry of Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia. The group formed in 1998 under the original name United Live. Joel Houston has served as a long-time leader and creative director for the collective, which features an evolving, rotating lineup of musicians, songwriters, and worship leaders. Their music is categorized as contemporary worship, CCM, and Christian rock, and their work is focused on creating music intended to connect people with God.
The group has released numerous live and studio albums since their inception, including All of the Above, Zion, Empires, and People. Zion reached No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top Christian Albums chart. Among their most recognized songs is “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” which was certified 4× Platinum in the United States. Other notable recordings include “So Will I (100 Billion X),” “Touch The Sky,” and “Another In The Fire.”
Hillsong UNITED has received significant recognition within the Christian music industry.
