Meaning & Inspiration
“Absolutely Nothing” by Dunsin Oyekan is a short, repeated worship song about dependence on God. It begins with two statements: “All I have is what You gave me” and “Who I am is what You made me.” These open the main refrain, “Absolutely nothing without You,” which is sung again and again.
The idea is close to John 15:5, where Jesus says that without Him, believers can do nothing, and to James 1:17 on every good gift coming from above. The song does not explain the point; it repeats it until it becomes a prayer of surrender.
